The Spurs Massacre And Humiliate The Heat
Spurs humiliated Heat
Spurs wreck the Heat
The Spurs show the Heat its not about 3
The Heat have failed Miami this year. Though they have really made Miami a sports city again, they have left the fans in a state of confusion and shock. The utter amount of mistakes and overall lack of desire really has hurt fans in many ways. The Spurs came to play and the heat seemed to come to receive easy victories. Maybe the rest of the season was just to easy for the Heat to realize this was more then just another game. As a long time Heat fan I can remember the days before greatness. The Days before Wade, James and Bosh. I remember before just Wade, I remember when it was Hardaway and Alonzo. I've sat through our struggles and felt the exhausted efforts of great players who just couldn't make it happen. I became very upset with the way this series turned out, not because the Heat didn't win. Not because the San Antonio Spurs won. It's the difference in the playing. The difference doesn't mean there skills on the court. The heat have the most raw talent in the league. The spurs displayed something more important though, they showed us what its like to want the win and to want it every second of the game. Remember the times when all that matters was that you tried. I have to say watching a failing team lose would have felt like so much more then what I saw over the last couple disgusting games. The San Antonio Spurs just showed so much more persistence. They wanted the ball on both sides of the court they fought for rebounds like their was money attached to the ball. They also couldn't miss a shot. They were insane on the court, and if they missed the heat couldn't get their hands on the ball. Without even a hustle from the heat it looked like, a professional team Vs. a team that had something better to do. Is that really what's happened?
No hustle from Miami
Heat didn't even attempt to win
Where was the hustle
Miami Heat, as a long time Miami Heat fan I have to ask where was the hustle? You guys played like this was a charity game against children and you wanted to let them win. You guys played the game like you weren't trying to make shots. Look sometimes the ball just doesn't go in, I know that. Yet, you guys looked like you had played the game expecting to lose. You guys never had that fire that you had for the last three championships. You lost to the Mavericks in style. This time you guys just seemed like you didn't want to play. I respect that you have had really little competition getting to the finals. You are without a doubt the most talented team in the NBA. Wade, a favorite player of mine, looked like I was playing out on the court. I mean he missed shots left and right and didn't really go for the ball the way you'd expect him to. He didn't make huge plays for the ball. He didn't draw the fouls like he does at certain times. He didn't and 1 for us. This wasn't the Dwayne Wade who makes 20 and 30 point games. This was more like watching a far less talented player attempt to get the ball when he wants to put the effort in. Dwayne Wade is in my opinion in the top five greatest players in the NBA. Even at his age I can respect his hustle and really believe that he's going to play well. Age can't be an excuse though. Duncan, I have his rookie basketball cards from when I was in fourth grade. He played out there like he was a rookie on the court. Wade doesn't have an excuse and I was truly disappointed by his ability out there. Mostly because he has the ability to be the greatest player on the court. In 2005 he was compared to Michael Jordan, he was the new Jordan. Bosh, just kept coming up short. Again, the effort and hustle was not apparent. He is usually a powerhouse out on the court. He just didn't show us what he can do and for that there again is no excuse. This is the finals, this is it and then you go home. Give your team what they want. Get that ring, bring us a championship or at least give it everything in yourself to attempt to bring it home. If you lose you lose but lose with honor on the court.
LeBron was the only one trying
LeBron tried so hard his leg cramped in game one
LeBron Alone
LeBron James you can't get the same flack that the other are gotten. You might be amazing but I understand you aren't the whole team. You put up some devastating shots and your defense wasn't awful but you tried. You had that look of knowing you are the greatest player and no one is holding you down. You showed that you wanted the game and wanted this series. You displayed a desire to win and honestly your teammates let you down. Not so much based off there ability, you know that you have some of the best teammates in the NBA, but they just didn't care like you did. Ray Allen knows he is a monster and an all-time great, but he didn't play like an all-time great. He played like he was there to make lay ups. Why wasn't he getting his shots on the perimeter to make exceptional threes. We needed his repetitive and impressive shots to be able to pull this off. We needed some hustling from the team to get him open and a little more effort on his part. Everyone seemed to be somewhere else during the game. I'm unsure why the defense was so loose. Why the defense wasn't a factor. Defenses win games, we say that in the NFL with Seattle killing Denver, so why didn't the Heat pay attention to that lesson. It seemed like the Spurs did. Their relentless assault was unquestioned and there defense impenetrable. They played like champions without being champions. LeBron shouldn't be happy with the way things went. However, he should take a look and realize he has some of the greatest players in the NBA on his side. Hopefully, one bad series won't cause him to walk away from the Heat. But, you can not be mad at the guy if he is seriously disappointed with his teammates. I'm not saying LeBron played the best game he's ever played but he certainly played well.
Spurs are warriors
Spurs deserved to win it
The Spurs are warriors
The San Antonio Spurs deserve my praise. It pains me to watch the Heat lose and especially in such poor fashion, but without a doubt the Spurs are an amazing team. They have a big three, but they are so much more then that. Everyone on there bench came alive. Not only did they come to play, but they came to win. Leonard became the MVP, Mills, Green and all of the spurs came to play. It wasn't just Duncan, Ginobli or Parker, it was the whole team. Everyone played like it was the last time they'd get to play basketball. These guys weren't playing around. They wanted this championship. Revenge, desire to win, whatever it was they played like a team who knew they couldn't be touched by anyone even the defending champions. They didn't give the Heat a chance. They desecrated the Miami Heat and left them like wounded children who couldn't find their mothers. It was Hard to watch the Spurs annihilate my team, it was even harder to watch my team fall apart and not care. The Spurs made the Heat crumble. The games weren't even close. It was a kill and it truly hurt to watch them pull this off with sheer ability. The Miami Heat should take away more then the Spurs from this game. The Heat should take a look and the Spurs and try to understand that this is what a team does. A team has a supporting cast that could play well without there starters. A supporting cast that helps win games is one of pure drive. These players on the bench aren't first stringers on the Spurs but with there heart they could be first stringers on any other team. They just brought so much to the game that left the Heat in shambles. I have to give credit where credit is due. Watching a team come alive like that was impressive and though difficult impressive to watch. I watched people that I didn't even know there names give Wade and James a harder time then some of the greatest players in the history of basketball. I watched a team with all-stars lose to the bench players of another team. I watched missed foul shots, missed shots, even missed dunks. Only to watch the team I backed 100% get not mercy. This Spurs team came to dominate not to just play a game. They were ruthless on the court. They played the game like they were thirsty for that trophy, like the only thing that could possible help them was a victory. They got that victory and Miami got a rough flight home. Miami needed to show the Spurs who was boss when they can to San Antonio. It was time to shot the Spurs how it felt to be on there heels. For one quarter in the last game we saw the Heat play like champions. Shortly after we watched the Spurs step back up to the plate and crush the Heats goal for a three-peat.
