The Best Pro Wrestling Tag-Teams of All Time, Now This Is the Real List.

Updated on May 2, 2019

Pro wrestling in the 80's n 90's

Well i came across an interesting topic the other day and I feel with my pedigree and absolute love for WWF( yes i said it, now come sue me animal rights activist), I have to chime in on who i think are the best Tag-teams of all time. I hope you enjoy this hub, and maybe it"ll bring back some memories of a better time.

The Top 10

Everyone knows who's in the mix, but I may fool you and actually put the undeserving team at #1, here's how i rank them with all due respect for the killer bees, the Nasty Boys, Midnight express,Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham, The Dudley boys, and any other great team out there. This is my opinion on the matter, and of course my opinion is always right so these teams should feel much appreciated! STARTING WITH:

10.) The British Bulldogs

  • My sisters may hate me but I cant budge on this they stay at 10. with the overwhelming style of speed and power The Dynamite Kid and Davie Boy Smith were two Englishmen with attitude. they ran postal on the sport for a good 3yrs, chasing down the legend Bobby Heanon, with there bulldog Matilda is still a classic scene in wwf clips and moments

9.) Edge and Christian

  • look im not a huge fan of that new age style of wrestling that took over in the late 90's but these two guys paid there dues, and were legit. both actually becoming solid single performers for years, but they innovated the tables ladders n chairs, so there credit is way over due.

8.) The Rockers

  • yes a guy named Marty Jannetty will live on forever because of his co-hort and one of the top 5 wrestlers of all time the showstopper, Shawn Michaels.leading the road. Until an abrupt ending at the barber shop, where Michaels, (which became his theme) threw jannetty through glass. always backstabbing someone.

7.) The Harlem Heat

  • well maybe not the most famous, but Booker T and Stevie Ray dominated WCW for years before the NWO came into town, but these two guys ran wild on WCW, becoming pretty much unbeatable for yrs, until that tragic night where wrestling was changed forever, and the NWO took over.

6.) The Steiner Brothers

  • Rick and Scott were the All American heroes, battling back n forth with Heat for yrs on WCW, they tried bringing themselves into WWF but couldn't ever find there edge there and back came to WCW where they left their mark, even though i really disagree with what Scott did to himself. by becoming a steroid freak, but ill always remember the long brown hair and heady gears..

5.) The Hart Foundation

  • yes i wanted to some how put them at #2 or #3 but i just cant, Brett "The Hitman" Hart and Jim Nydheart were a tandem to be reckon with, they were a perfect fit. You had the looks and the muscle and the shades and leather jackets topped it off. They were too cool. Unfortunately Bret's career was shortened by a family feud with Vince McMahon, and the tragic death of his brother Owen. But I would of loved to see the Rock, Stone Cold, the showstopper and The Hitman collide for a few years, we were all cut short on that feud that could developed and untimely beat out WCW in the Monday night wars, but nobody knows what was going through anyones heads back then, and we as fans just had to watch it dissolve itself out.

4.) New Age Outlaws

  • The Bad Ass Billy Gunn and The Road Dogg Jessie James wreaked havoc in the late 90's on the tag team scene, holding the titles on 3 different occasions for a masterful 331 days. Joining up with DX cohorts Tripple H, Shawn Michael's and X pac, catapulted the already known Tag Team into stardom and Hall of Fame worthiness. Also the team joined forces once more in TNA to regain the titles, but eventually splitting up because BA Billy James at the time thought he could become a singles superstar, which he never amounted to.

3.) Demolition

  • Honestly at first I had this tag team looking in as honorable mention to the top 10. But after much research I found out a lot about this tag team which moves them into my #3 spot. Ax and Smash, with the manager Mr Fuji held the belts for an incredible 478 days straight by far becoming the longest reign in tag team history. The team held the belts on 3 separate occasions for a record 698 days.

2.) The Outsiders

  • Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, Not my favorite of Tag Teams and they didnt stay together for along time, But when you look at what these two did to the landscape of pro wrestling, then you will understand why I have them #2. Joining WCW in late 90's early 2000, Wreaking havoc on every "face" in the locker room, and convincing the Greatest superstar of all time Hulk Hogan too join forces, They dominated pro wrestling for a short time, making The infamous NWO. I guess you could say they killed tag team wrestling, making it only possible to beat them if two singles superstars joined forces to take them down. But still you have to give credit where credit is due.

1.) The Legion of Doom/ The Road Warriors

  • Yes Hawk and Animal to this day rock T-Shirt sales representing the greatest Tag team of all time. Walking to the ring with football pads with spikes shooting out of them. They were scary fun, and crowd favorites. yes they had 2 reigns as world champs for only 290 days, but it was about the persona and the fright they put on when they were in a show. They are the definition of what Tag-team wrestling should be! no need for singles titles, no jeolousy towards one another.Just flat out lets get it done, we know our roll in this sport, so lets become the greatest and never forgotten tag team. Well LOD you did it right and you are the best!! RIP Hawk

Whos the best duo
