Infusing Water to Keep You Hydrated
Every human being on planet earth is made up of of approximately 60% water, however just being alive starts to drain you of this precious liquid. Breathing, perspiring and urinating are just a few of the activities that will drain your body of water.
To make sure that you don't become dehydrated you need to consume between 2 and 3 litres of liquid a day, and the best liquid you can drink is plain water. However if you are like me, after a couple of glasses of water you will be sick of the bland taste. When this happens you usually stop drinking water and turn to other drinks such as soda or coffee.
As soon as you start consuming these drinks you are undoing the good that drinking the liquid is doing. These drinks will actually contribute to dehydrating you!
So apart from just drinking plain water how can you get all the benefits without getting bored?
Water infusion. It is such a simple idea you will wonder why you never thought of it to begin with!
Let me explain.
93oz Water Infuser

A Fruit and Water Infusion
What could be a healthier way to get some flavour into your water than to combine it with some natural ingredients that will not only add some flavour to it, but also make it an even healthier beverage?
You will never look at water again in the same way. A wedge of lemon, a slice of watermelon and a sprig of mint combined with some chilled water is just the perfect drink, but how do you get all these flavours into a glass so you can drink it without getting a mouthful of mint leaves or a water patch down the front of your shirt?
A water infuser. Quite simply a water infuser is a device that either has a container within a container (infuser tube) or has part of the container separated from the main body by a simple grate or mesh section (which holds the fruit in place).
The infuser tube runs through the centre of the container and it is perforated to let the water enter it and mix with what ever flavours you have put in the tube.
If you look at the picture below you will get an idea of what I mean. You just fill the infuser tube with any healthy flavour you like, pop it back in the jug and very quickly the water will take on the delicious flavour of whatever you have put in the infuser.
As I said, simple, clever, delicious.an healthy.

Who You will Meet if You Don't Stay Hydrated

Dehydration - Why You Should Care
If your body becomes dehydrated by around 15% you will die, however this is the extreme example. What happens if you become dehydrated by just 1 or 2%? Well it may not seem like much and yet the effects on your body can be quite noticeable. At 2% you will start to suffer from some or all of the following symptoms:
- Headache
- Irritability
- Tiredness
- Dark, pungent urine
- Increased body temperature (as you wont perspire as much)
- Dizziness
If you continue to ignore these symptoms you will quickly find their severity worsening and you will start to hallucinate, you will stop urinating and your body will generally start to shut down. Your heart will be working harder and you will feel even sleepier.
From this point on, things will only go downhill. People can go without water for anywhere between 3 and 8 days and then, inevitably, you meet your maker.
Still Not Sure How the Infuser Works?
