WWE Crown Jewel Predictions

The WWE World Cup Tournament is one of the big ideas that will take place at Crown Jewel November 2nd, 2018. Qualifying matches took place over the last few weeks to see who would be in the tourney. Eight superstars won their matches to qualify. These WWE superstars are Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashely, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, and The Miz. Before I get to other matches to predict, I am going to break down this tournament with my pics.

Seth Rollins versus Bobby Lashley

This match can go either way but unfortunately, I expect an early exit from Seth Rollins. Not because Lashley is the better wrestler because he isn't in my opinion, but because of outside interference on the part of Dean Ambrose. I expect Ambrose to cost Seth Rollins the victory furthering their once again newly rivalry. Lashley will win via pinfall.

Kurt Angle versus Dolph Ziggler

Kurt Angle is in the World Cup Tournament due to the fact that he is one of the greatest of all time. He will take on Dolph Ziggler and I think that this will lead to a Kurt Ange win. This past Monday on WWE Raw, Kurt Angle compared winning the World Cup will be bigger than any win he as ever had in his career. I think that promo actually help set him up and gave us a big hint on who was making it to the finals on the Raw brand.

Lashley versus Kurt Angle

The better win here would be Lashley to help build his career but this is a rough spot for Lashley to be in. The better story is for Kurt Angle to win and go on to the finals and I think Angle will do just that. This could be an interference win for Angle. I expect another run-in in another Lashley match except this time from Finn Balor. Balor and Lashley have both had their share of matches as of late and after the beating Balor took on Raw, I expect revenge from the Demon King.

Jeff Hardy versus The Miz

Over the past year, I have been getting behind The Miz a lot. This match is no exception. Due to the next match, the winner I have for that is the same reason why I predict a Jeff Hardy loss here. I think that the people are tired of seeing Jeff Hardy versus Randy Orton and if Hardy was to win, that would be exactly what the people would get. So Miz, you are in the right booking situation for this match

Rey Mysterio versus Randy Orton

Just like the previous prediction, Randy Orton is destined to lose this match. Again, who really wants to see another Orton versus Hardy match? Not me. Plus Mysterio just returned to the WWE officially 2 weeks ago and has been on fire since the big return to the Smackdown brand of the WWE. A bad spot for Orton to be in for any story line but one perfect for Mysterio. Mysterio wins this match with the 6-1-9 finisher,

Rey Mysterio versus The Miz and the Final Match Winner

With Kurt Angle making it to the finals of the World Cup, he will wait on his opponent to be confirmed. Rey Mysterio versus The Miz will be the World Cup match of the night in my opinion. I do see Mysterio defeating The Miz to go on and face Kurt Angle in the finale. And in that finale, after a long hard fought match, and due to the stipulation in place (if a Smackdown superstar makes the finale and loses, he will be fired from Smackdown), Rey Mysterio will be your WWE World Cup Champion.

Last week, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro), defeated the then WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions, The New Day thanks in part due to Big Show interfering. It was immediately announced that at Crown Jewel, the New Day would get their rematch. Unfortunately this time, the Big Show will be at ringside and I expect him to play a huge roll once again by helping the Bar retain the tag titles.

This match was originally suppose to be AJ Styles versus Daniel Bryan for the WWE title. However, due to Bryan's position against the WWE traveling to Saudi Arabia for this event, Bryan and Styles had their match in Atlanta, Ga with Styles get the submission win. It was after the match that Samoa Joe attacked AJ Styles from behind which led to Styles challenging Joe at Crown Jewel later in the night. I expect to see a new WWE champion crowned and his name is Samoa Joe.

This is a match that the long time wrestling fan was hoping for. Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement after 9+ years is the big highlight in this match. Last month at WWE Super Showdown, it was HBK himself who caused the Undertaker to lose to Triple H. After the match was over with, Kane, Undertaker, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels gave the fans a curtain call to end the show. Then out of nowhere, Undertaker and Kane unleashed a beating on both Triple H and Michaels. This caused Michaels to come out of retirement to team with his D-X brother. My prediction for this match is Triple H and Shawn Michaels come out with the victory and defeat the Brothers of Destruction once and for all.

This match was suppose to have Roman Reigns in it, but due to Roman's battle with leukemia, it is now down to the other two competitors. Brock Lesnar is a 2 time WWE Universal Champion. The Universal title is the highest singles title on the Raw brand. His opponent, the Monster Amongst Men, Braun Strowman. I think these two will have a slow paced match. I expect there to be 10+ German suplex moves by Brock but in the end, Strowman becomes your new WWE Universal Champion which sets up for Braun vs Drew McIntyre next month.
