Baseball Cap
Introduction
Here is a few ways you can wash a baseball cap. Here is some safe but effective ways to wash your favorite or his favorite hat.
Baseball Cap Care
If you have dirty smelly baseball caps that you would like to keep but really don't know how to wash. Here are some suggestions to how to clean and wash your baseball caps without fear of damaging or losing the original shape of your baseball caps.
The suggestion is according to your situation and resources for cleaning your baseball hat.
How to Wash Your Baseball Caps
Dishwasher Method: If the baseball cap is heavily soiled you can soak the baseball hat first in some warm water. Just add a cup of vinegar and some baking soda. You will see the solution fizz don’t panic your baseball hat is perfectly safe. Allow hat to soak for about an hour.
Do not wash baseball cap or caps in dishwasher full of dirty dishes. Clear out your dishwasher before washing your baseball caps.
If the baseball hat is not heavily soiled just put the baseball hat in the top rack. Use the prongs in the rack to keep the shape of your baseball hat. Simply slip the cap over the prongs with the shape of the hat.
Add dish washing soap. Close door set the dishwasher for cold water. Set the dishwasher to air dry. Do not put dish washer on steam cycle.
Wash-machine Method: I have personally just threw my husbands caps in with the clothes in the wash-machine. I only had one hat that looked good but lost its shapes so if this is an old favorite baseball cap or has some sort of sentimental value. I wouldn’t use the wash-machine method but if it's just a work around the house baseball cap and easy to replace if it were to get ruined chances are the baseball hat will wash just fine in the wash-machine.
If the baseball cap is white or has white with colors use vinegar along with your laundry soap. The vinegar will whiten and brighten the colors of the baseball cap without the colors running or damaging the hat.
If the baseball cap is valuable I suggest talking to someone who knows about collectible baseball hats because washing the hat could make the hat lose its value.
If the hat is a special hat I would have the baseball cap dry cleaned.
