Weekend Wristlock: 3 Feuds For Samoa Joe
The Samoan Submission Machine hasn't been seen on WWE television for weeks now. It's likely we won't see his return until after Extreme Rules, for kind of a storyline reset of sorts.
With his incredible mic work and tremendous in-ring ability, Joe has all the tools and can pull off an excellent feud with a number of people.
Here, we will look at three names Samoa Joe can have an upcoming rivalry with. There are many more names out there, but this is my opinion on the top three.
These are all my opinion, so if your list differs, feel free to share your opinions in the comment section below!

Jeff Hardy
The United States champion is currently in limbo between his feud with the currently injured Shinsuke Nakamura and his weekly open challenges. Joe's involvement in this title picture depends on how healthy Nakamura is upon his return.
Samoa Joe could wait until the Smackdown after Extreme Rules to come after the US title. If Nakamura isn't fully ready to go at the pay-per-view, you could run an angle where Joe attacks and injures the challenger backstage before announcing himself as the replacement, and winning the title.
Either way, a Joe/Hardy rivalry does sound like great Smackdown television, and considering thei history from TNA, these guys should produce very good matches. Again, all of this will depend on the health of Shinsuke Nakamura before anything could happen in the immediate future.
Daniel Bryan
You know this matchup had to be mentioned. These two have a history with one another, and a nearly unmatched chemistry together. This wouldn't be for a title, but merely for pride and respect.
They already interacted during the gauntlet match to determine the next contender for WWE champion AJ Styles, where Bryan snuck away with the count out win (although he eventually lost). There was also a triple threat match also involving Big Cass which determined the final Money in the Bank participant, where Joe choked out Bryan to win the match. Letting these guys go 100% on some big pay-per-view stages like Summerslam would be a great idea, considering how great they are in the ring.
It doesn't matter if it were for the WWE championship, US championship, or no title at all, this match is almost guaranteed to be match of the night on any show it's on.
Who would you like to see Samoa Joe face next?
AJ Styles
The big one here is the WWE title feud. One has to assume Styles will be defeating Rusev at Extreme Rules, and moving on to a more big-name guy for his Summerslam title defense. Samoa Joe would be that guy if they want to continue with the heel/face dynamic for their title matches (if not, then Styles/Bryan would be an excellent choice).
These two also have incredible history from their days together in TNA. It'd be hard to believe that Vince McMahon would allow two former TNA guys to perform together on a big stage for one of the top prizes in WWE.
However, if it does happen, nobody should have any regret about what would come next: a potential match of the year candidate, and an instant match of the night qualifier. Samoa Joe with the WWE title on his shoulder just looks right to me. He's a badass and needs to be booked as such.
