Weekend Wristlock: 3 Reasons Why AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe Should Main Event Summerslam
Summerslam is shaping up to be a pretty solid card, with a few intriguing matches on tap. However, it's the likely main event that has the biggest chance of leaving a black mark on the entire show.
I think I can speak for the majority of fans when I say that nobody wants to see Lesnar vs Reigns again. Instead, the WWE title should be used to end the event on a high note, and here's three reasons why!

3. They Have a Good Story to Tell
The feud between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe has quickly become personal. It started with Joe choking Styles out while he waited to see who his challenger would be, then the contract was signed.
This week on Smackdown, the challenger talked about how Styles cares more about being a good champion than being a good father. He then went on to say he was going to send Styles back home to be with his family, but Joe will be the WWE champion.
The story of the heel bringing his opponent's family into the conversation has been done many times before, but it's much more believable when Samoa Joe has the mic.
2. The in-ring Work Will Be Great
It's well known that AJ Styles is arguably the best wrestler in WWE (and potentially the best in the world), but Samoa Joe doesn't receive quite as much credit. While he isn't quite on the level of guys like Styles and Seth Rollins, the Samoan Submission Machine may be just a notch below them.
He is pretty agile for a big man, is a powerhouse, and is quite verse in submission moves (hence the nickname). These two are fully capable of (and have in the past) putting on excellent matches that will blow away anything Reigns or Lesnar could pull off.
Should the WWE title match headline Summerslam?
1. It's a Fresh WWE Matchup
Notice I said "WWE" matchup. These two have obviously had plenty of battles in TNA over their world title. However, this has never taken place inside of a WWE ring. I do like how they went out of their way to call this clash "first time ever in WWE" instead of just saying that it's never happened before.
Unlike another potential main event like say... Lesnar vs Reigns, this match (even with their TNA battles) hasn't been overdone. It's about time we got a closing match the fans will truly care about. Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler at Extreme Rules was a great start, now WWE should follow that with a Smackdown main event match at Summerslam.
