Weekend Wristlock: Sasha Banks is the Legit Boss
Author's note: This article is purely satire, so don't get all mad at me if you don't think this makes any real, logical sense.
"It's Boss time!" is the catchphrase of one Michael Cole every time (EVERY. TIME.) the intro to Sasha Banks' theme music hits. She calls herself the "legit boss", but what does this actually mean? Some would just call it a silly nickname given to her by WWE/NXT, but what if there was a deeper meaning to this?
What if this entire time, she actually WAS the Legit Boss and actually runs the company behind the scenes? Of course it doesn't make sense at first, but it could still be possible.
Banks is currently progressing in a storyline with Bayley, which could culminate at Summerslam. This is a highly anticipated feud, which arguably should have had a one-on-one match between the two at Wrestlemania. Sasha is obviously an active wrestler, but what if she loved the actual wrestling so much, that she didn't want to settle for a behind-the-scenes role until she was older, and retired from in-ring competition?
Maybe the nickname "The Legit Boss" is foreshadowing. Maybe Banks wants us to know that it's actually HER (not Vince McMahon, not Triple H) who runs the show backstage, but doesn't want to come out and say it. Instead, she leaves very straight-forward clues.
Obviously I'm right, and Sasha Banks has truly been the Legit Boss for years, but no one has yet to catch on. Honestly, I don't think anyone will, despite Michael Cole's numerous attempts to let the fans in on it.
IT'S BOSS TIME!
