Grigor Dimitrov - Biography & Background
Grigor Dimitrov was born on May 16th, 1991 in Haskovo Bulgaria. Being born during some of the toughest economic years in Bulgaria, all odds were against the youngster. Thankfully his parents took great care of Grigor, and he started playing tennis regularly when he was only five years old.
He trained in one of the best tennis training facilities in Bulgaria at the time: Tennis Club Haskovo, which has been known to produce great talent for Bulgarian tennis. As Grigor started growing up, he started to demonstrate unbelievable talent which became noticed during one of the many tournaments he was playing in. The news about his talent spread very quickly throughout the tennis world, and Grigor left Bulgaria to train in Paris at the prestigious Patrick Mouratoglou's Tennis Academy.
His incredible talent gave him the nick name "Baby Federer" as coaches around the tennis world started comparing him to the Swiss great from early age. Grigor changed several coaches in his career, and managed to get several important titles. He was the worlds number 1 junior ranked player as he managed to win Wimbledon and US Open for juniors. He is currently on track to be a top 10 player by the end of 2014.

Grigor Dimitrov - Professional Career
Grigor Dimitrov turned pro in 2008, as success did not come right away. Even though he just had won the Wimbledon and the US Open for juniors, he still had lots to learn in the senior tennis world, and that reflected his record for the first couple of years.
After changing several coaches and training academies Grigor has finally started to unravel his huge potential. In October 2013 he won his first ATP Tour title in Stockholm Sweden. This title put Grigor into the top 25 tennis players in the world, as he became the first Bulgarian to win an ATP title, as well as the first player from Bulgaria to be in the top 25 in the world.
In 2014, everyone expects great things from the Bulgarian youngster, as he seems to be taking tennis much more seriously and his court demeanor has improved significantly in the past six months.
