World Cup 1930

Champion: Uruguay

Runner-Up: Argentina

Result: 4:2

This was the first World Cup ever played. What was really interesting, the teams that qualified for the first World Cup were selected of the finalists that played in the 1928 Olympics. The final match was between Uruguay and Argentina. It was really interesting, but I have never heard of that before and I thought it was kind of cool, but both teams couldn't agree with the match ball that the teams were going to play with, so FIFA allowed each team to bring their own ball and play one half with their own ball. The game ended in a 4:2 win, making Uruguay the first team to ever win the World Cup. The actual tournament took place in Uruguay as well. The match was played at Estadio Centenario and it was watched by around 80,000 fans.

A special summer for me the World Cup of 1994 in the United States. But enough of that, This final was played at the Rose Bowl Arena in Los Angeles in front of 94,000 spectators. The game ended in a 0:0 tie in regulation. Both teams couldn't score in extra time, and they went to penalties. Brazil was able to win their fourth title in a 3:2 win.

In this edition of the World Cup we traveled to Germany. This was the first time that Germany hosted the World Cup.
