AEW: All In Preview & Predictions
AEW: All In Texas
It's that time again, AEW All In is nearly here! the 2025 edition of this Pay Per View comes from the Globe Life Field in Arlington Texas and if 2024's is anything to go by (I still miss you Bryan Danielson) we should be in for a great show! in this article I will preview each match, as well as giving my predictions for said match, and see how I do after the event!
Zero Hour: The Outrunners vs FTR
Zero Hour (Pre Show)
Kicking things off on the Zero Hour Pre Show we have The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) vs FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood - with Stokely)
I kinda wish this would be on the main card instead, but I know regardless it wont disappoint, The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) have been on an upward trajectory since they debuted, and they are certainly a refreshing and unique team in the Tag Team division, however FTR are FTR (imo the best tag team in the world, and I've always had a soft spot for Stokely (remember Bivens?)) so I think that FTR will pick up the win here, through some underhanded tactics most likely, but a W for FTR nonetheless.
Prediction: FTR
Big Boom AJ, Tomohiro Ishii, Hologram, & Kyle O’Reilly vs. Don Callis Family (Lance Archer, Rocky Romero, Hechicero, and Trent Beretta)
Sure, why not? I don't expect anything amazing from this match, probably a few cool spots and teamwork but I fully expect Big Boom AJ to get the win or provide a big assist to do so, heck of a babyface team too I can't lie! and at least Big Boom AJ is a celebrity that actually wrestles!
Prediction: Big Boom AJ, Tomohiro Ishii, Hologram & Kyle O'Reilly
Men/Woman Casino Gauntlet Match
The Men's and Women's Casino Gauntlet Matches are hard to predict without knowing the full list of Entrants - which we probably won't know to be fair, so its hard to pick a winner. Here are the list of entrants we do know so far.
Men's: Mistico, MJF, Mark Briscoe, Brody King, Ricochet, Bandido
Women's: Kris Statlander, Megan Bayne
Predictions: N/A
The Hurt Syndicate vs The Patriarchy vs JetSpeed - AEW World Tag Team Championship
The Hurt Syndicate (C) vs The Patriarchy vs JetSpeed - AEW World Tag Team Championship.
This has potential to be a great and interesting match, The Patriarchy (Christian Cage & Nick Wayne) have just came back to TV following Nick's time in Japan, JetSpeed (Speedball Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight are a newly formed Tag Team who are looking good together) however The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley - with MVP & MJF) have been virtually unstoppable since arriving, and adding MJF in to the mix has kept the storyline even more interesting, I fully expect them to pick up the win here and continue doing as they say: Hurting People.
Prediction: The Hurt Business to retain their championships
Timeless Toni Storm vs Mercedes Mone - AEW Women's World Championship
Timeless Toni Storm vs Mercedes Mone - AEW Women's World Championship.
This is a very interesting match I feel, Mercedes Mone has not lost a match since arriving in AEW over a year ago, and this has seen her pick up the TBS Championship, the storytelling in this feud has been compelling and in my opinion is a 50/50 split on who could win, personally I would not be disappointed either way.
Timeless Tony Storm has had a series of great matches recently, especially her ones with Mariah May, and Mercedes Mone has had equally great matches against Kris Statlander, this one has the potential to be a banger.
Prediction: New AEW Women's World Champion: Mercedes Mone
The Opps vs The Death Riders - AEW World Trios Championship
The Opps vs The Death Riders - AEW World Trios Championship
I kind of wish the AEW World Trios Championship had been defended more, and with different opponents, but here we are. Ever since The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs) won the Trios Championships from the Death Riders in April, they've not really been seen or defended since, and now they have another match against The Death Riders with the titles on the line.
Having Gabe Kidd in the match instead of Moxley (he probably has something else to prepare for, hmm?) is an interesting curveball, and I would be curious how things would play out if The Death Riders were to win, especially with Forbidden Door coming up, but I feel like The Opps will reclaim their titles, and probably at Wheeler Yuta's expense
Prediction: And Still the AEW World Trios Champions: The Opps
Adam Cole vs Kyle Fletcher - TNT Championship
Adam Cole (BayBay!) vs Kyle Fletcher - TNT Championship
I am conflicted about this one, I love Adam Cole and am super glad to see him back Wrestling on TV and healthy, however Kyle Fletcher has been on a hell of a run the last while (his matches against Ospreay were especially incredible) and with the momentum he has built up, I think personally it would be silly if he didn't pick up the win here and become the TNT Champion, I would not be surprised if he did, and maybe Cole, O'Reilly and Strong went after the Trios Championships?
Prediction: And new TNT Champion: Kyle Fletcher
Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny Omega - Winner Takes All AEW International & Continental Championship Unification Match
Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny Omega - Winner Takes All AEW International & Continental Championship Unification Match
What more to say about this that hasn't already been said? Kenny Omega (AEW International Champion) and Kazuchika Okada (AEW Continental Champion) always put on a classic, and with the extra stakes of the Continental/International Titles being unified and the winner being the new Champion, I feel like this could easily be match of the night. It's great to see Kenny back healthy and wrestling again too, and even if he hits half of his best this match should still be incredible, it is also another one that is extremely hard to pick a winner for, but my gut tells me Kenny Omega will just pull it out.
Prediction: Winner and Unified AEW International / Continental Champion: Kenny Omega
The Young Bucks vs Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay
The Young Bucks vs Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay
This match is another one with interesting potential, The Young Bucks are one of (if not the) best tag teams in the world, and always show out on Pay Per View (their Steel Cage match against The Lucha Bros is one of my favourite AEW matches) but Swerve and Ospreay are 2 of the absolute top and best stars AEW has, adding the stipulations on to the match:
If Ospreay and Strickland lose, they cannot challenge for the AEW World Championship for one year.
If The Young Bucks lose, they will be stripped of their Executive Vice President titles.
It could be interesting how AEW will manage it if The Young Bucks do win, who will challenge the World Champion in the year after this? Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay are two top top guys in AEW who will undoubtedly be challenging and winning World Titles in the coming years, will AEW be able to have enough challengers to keep fans interested for the year? how will this effect Swerve/Ospreays relationship and time in the roster in general? But at the same time, if The Young Bucks lose, they lose their EVP Status, which could also be just as interesting to see how they act and are treated backstage, having less/no power (on television anyway)
Prediction: Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay
Jon Moxley vs Hangman Adam Page - AEW World Championship
Jon Moxley vs Hangman Adam Page - AEW World Championship (Texas Deathmatch)
The Main Event, the big one, the one they cannot (in my opinion) get wrong. I like Moxley and think he's been phenomenal for AEW as a whole, but it is 100% Hangman Adam Page's time and moment to regain the AEW World Championship, his character development and story over the last 18 months has been incredible, his darkness and road to redemption, the epic rivalry with Swerve Strickland (you're not clued in, I recommend you watch it immediately, it involves home invasions, arson and a lot of blood)
I expect this to be full of tomfoolery and shenanigans, multiple run ins from pretty much everyone: The Death Riders, The Opps, Swerve Strickland, Ospreay, The Young Bucks, hell even Jungle Boy (if he returns of course) and in a dream world Bryan Danielson (please, Tony, do the right thing)
I feel like it will be a great match of storytelling, especially with this match being a Texas Deathmatch, which both men excel in. I think this will be a pinnacle of violence and aggression (fun note, Hangman Adam Page won the previous Texas Deathmatch between these two) this match will go long, and be filled with tension and drama, but I think (and hope) that Tony Khan will do the right thing and put the title on Hangman Adam Page.
Prediction: And new AEW World Champion: Hangman Adam Page
I will revisit these predictions a few days after the show, to see how right (or horribly wrong I have been with them, and provide my thoughts on the show as a whole too.
