Who will win tomorrow's match between Spain and France, and why?

Spain and France face off on Saturday, June 23 in the Euro 2012 Quarterfinals to see who will face Portugal in the Semis.

France have the talent to challenge Spain, but after watching their match against Sweden it is difficult to believe that are they in any state to do it. The loss of Philippe Mexes in defence for France will be a minus for them. I think both time will be playing with strategy of 4-3-3.

Spain.  Both economies are moving towards default but France, with their new socialist governement, will get there faster.

This could be the match the neutral has been waiting for. Two very talented sides going forward and an interesting contrast in managers - del Bosque the old dog who doesn't give any secrets away but quietly gets his team to pass and pass and pass some more; then Blanc, the suave calm tactician who looks like a bureaucrat but has his defence well disciplined, to a point.

What I'd prefer is for an early French goal which would mean an onslaught from Iniesta and Co with the chance of more breakaway goals from Les Bleus. It could be very tight for the first 45 minutes then slowly open up into a classic.

Some say Spain are not the force they were but they're still way above everyone for creativity and work rate - they just need a consistent goal plunderer with Villa out. Torres loves the big matches usually and I think he'll come good in this one.

I'd like Spain to go all the way because of their tic a tac approach, flair and work rate. France will do better in the World Cup in two years time.
