Roger Federer claimed his record 15th grand slam crown and sixth Wimbledon title as he beat Any Roddick 5-7,7-6,7-6,16-14 in an epics final on Sunday. Federer's five -set triumph saw him surpass Pete Sampras's 14 grand slam title

Yeah, Pam and I saw that one, too (on the only channel we get at all, as we're on deep fringe antenna for TV).  Tennis is the only course I ever flunked in college, but that was still pretty cool.  We ESPECIALLY like the commercial they had cranked up and ready to air, the one with Federer straining to pull the wagon loaded to the gills with all his trophies.

It’s quite extraordinary how the sport of tennis keeps producing great characters who win the hearts of the millions with their artistry. Almost every era has had a living legend having charmed the followers of the game

A fantasic game! 77 games. Wow. I believe they palyed for over 4 hours. A half a beer would be enough to knock them both out after that.

What a great match! Neither player deserved to lose. By claiming a record 15th Grand Slam title Federer has surely cemented his place as one of the best, if not the best, tennis player of all time.
