That depends on what your type of receiver is. For all around skill I don't think you can do better than Hines Ward. For skill catching the ball I think it is a tie between Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson.
Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans has the size and the speed and his hands are some of these best in the league. He does it all well when it is needed of him. He does not get the press like some receivers, but he is my pick as the best wide receiver in the NFL.
I pick one of either Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald and Wes Welker.
Yes, Wes Welker, check the stats. He's not a huge play maker, but him and Brady will eat you alive with little quick slants over the middle. He had 86 catches last year and from '07-'09 caught over 110 passes each year. In '09 he caught 123 passes in 14 games.
I'm not picking Welker as the best, just presenting his case for anyone who might not consider him worthy.
