World Cup hypothetical.........
In the qualification stages, what would happen if every team in the group drew their qualification games 0-0.
Each team would have 3 points, but how would the places be decided?
Interesting question. I don't know for sure but I would imagine there is a rule in place whereby they take into account the number of yellow and red cards issued. If there have been no cards issued, maybe they would have to implement some kind of penalty competition.
hi, very good question.... this is from wikipedia:
If two or more teams end up with the same number of points, tiebreakers are used: first is goal difference, then total goals scored, then head-to-head results, and finally drawing of lots (i.e., determining team positions at random)
