When referee cannot see whole ball crossed the line .....
In a situation where his assistant referee cannot see if the whole ball crosses the goal line, is it acceptable for the main referee to ask the goalkeeper if the ball crossed the line and make his decision based on that?
I am pretty sure that cannot happen. The main referee can consult with the side-line referees but not with players from either team.
I highly doubt the goalkeeper will be completely honest as it is his net it possibly went in..... This is a common problem however and needs a solution as important games cannot be decided by "I thinks" and "Maybes" there is too much at stake...
As a referee, I'd have to say that is totally unacceptable. A referee must make a decision on what he sees. He can make a decision based on what his assistants or the fourth official sees, but NEVER a player.
Imagine this situation: a player comes up to you (the referee) and admits that he struck a player. None of the match officials see the incident. Would you send the player off for that? If you do, suppose the player says that he was just making a joke. Too risky to start using the word of a player. Few goalkeepers would be honest, and even if they were...suppose other teammates disagree; the goalkeeper doesn't always have the best view.

This question could refer to relationships or even personal health measures. Something should wake one up to the fact that they have crossed a very fine line and change is needed. How much and how far does it take to get there? Is it an individual lesson?

Hey all,I've recently began to post some of my poetry throughout many Hubs. Since I have had strong reactions, I dug through my earlier stuff and made a Hub that attempts to break it down. The problem is..I was seventeen when I wrote them. And as many teenagers do, I liberally used some profanity to...

Are you ever able to stay off the Internet for even just one whole day? This question came to me after another hubber answered another question about being on-line each and every day and how hard it is to not get on-line, even for one day. Do you find it very difficult to not be on-line for...
