No, Mt. is just mountain abbreviated. So let me ask you one-what constitutes a mountain as opposed to a hill, knoll, escarpment, massif, etc? I've never been able to find out, but with a name like "Mountain Man Jake" I thought you might know.
I think it has something to do with how it was formed. If it was formed from a fault line and exceeds a certain altitude, it will constitue itself as a mountain. Don't quote me on that, I just live in the mountains, I don't study them!
