    Yes, you do. Mimes use sound cancellation technology, that's why you never hear them. Bullets travel at the speed of sound which is why they make noise. What you hear is a sonic boom. The mimes sound cancellation technology will cancel out the bullet because it's going the speed of sound. The silencer makes it travel slightly slower than the speed of sound and that makes it bypass the mime's sound cancellation technology and kill the mime.

    Why not use a bow and arrow? It would be silent and at the same time provide a more dramatic experience.

    No, they are already silent. There is no longer answer to this.... so let's discuss.... why would you want to shoot a mime in the first place? Did they give you the silent treatment?
