Renegade Fishing Lures- the greatest or just the cheapest

Updated on September 8, 2012

Renegade lure is a cheap and simple lure, on sale at walmart, at least it was a year ago. When you buy this lure i recommend you to change the rings, because they are weak and too small, when replacing them, use nr.2 or nr.3 rings. But that is just an recommendation.

Renegade lures are cheap, and some say that you can not catch fish with cheap walmart lures, but, yes you can.Fish doesn´t care how much that lure costs.Usually the cheaper lure doesn´t have a good "game", but renegade lure has got it all to catch some serious fish. The largest fish, i know caught with renegade lure is a 21 lb northern pike, not the biggest, problably.

The greatest bonus with renegade lure, is that if you know how to catch with this you will always get fish.Learning how to use this lure correctly can take time, but it is worth it, usually.
This lure is not for beginner angler´s, if you are new to fishing then it will take time to learn this lure´s game and how to caught fish with this lure.If you should lose this lure you won´t loose much money, because it is cheap, but if you put weedless hooks on it will not get caught in weed, instead it will get caught by fish.
This lure is more of a freshwater lure than a saltwater lure, but you can use it in freshwater and you can also use it in saltwater, if you like.It can have remarkable results in saltwater, when you are fishing in saltwater, you should definitely try this; first you throw the lure, then wait depending on the figures(depth;lure color;fish etc.) after that pull a little quickly and strong, reel in , pull , reel in ....That should help you.

I use a renegade long lipped crank bait in purple shad as THE GO TO bait at a local lake here. It is a killer lure with a tight action, lots of flash, and built in rattle. I just lost a 25 pound plus stripe yesterday. We were trolling for spotted bass and i had it tied on to 6lb test when the monster grabbed it. We couldn't get it into our net, It was so dang long. Great, great lure, the holographic prism on the scales throw off a huge flash in sun. :( I just hope I can still find some at wally world.
