Try a Yoga Vinyasa to Get You Moving in the Morning
Vinyasa Yoga is a Wonderful Start to Your Day
Vinyasa Yoga is a type of yoga characterized by movements that flow from one pose to the next, timed with breathing in and out. This particular style of yoga is my preferred way to start the day. I find it a fabulous way to get my body energized, and my mind relaxed. On mornings in which I skip my AM ritual I find myself sluggish and unfocused. Whether you are interested in yoga, or just want a great morning workout give these Vinyasa Yoga techniques a try each morning for a week and feel the difference they make in your day.

Sun Salutation
This is a great video demonstrating the Sun Salutation. This is the very first vinyasa I started using for my morning routine. In this video she goes through the entire vinyasa and then after give the proper technique to use for each of these poses. This video is helpful for those just beginning yoga, as well as those who just need a reminder on the sequence of poses in the Sun Salutation flow.
Vinyasa Flow Video with Esther Ekhart
I really enjoy this vinyasa set as it does and amazing job at stretching and energizing my entire body. She gives breathing cues which is extremely helpful for those starting out, and a good reminder even for the more experienced. If you are getting bored with the sun salutations then this is a great way to perk up your routine without having to be super flexible. I love the spinal twists towards the end of this routine. Sometimes I do those before I even get out of bed in the morning!
30 Minute full "class" with Esther Ekhart
Another of Esther Ekhart's videos, this is a wonderful workout for mornings in which you have the etra time for a longer workout. The boat poses in the beginning core work helped me to regain my stomach strength after two C sections. This workout will really help with your core strength. I find it to be challenging yet attainable. But I do welcome the relaxation at the end! She does a superb job of guiding your relaxation and there has been more than one time she had me so relaxed I was sleeping. I don't so this workout daily, but like to work it in at least once a week.
