Updated on March 13, 2013
Source

Due to our society, every woman should make sure that they have the right objects in their purse. In case of an emergency, you have the right things at hand to properly make sure that the situation can be handled. This hub was created to help those that don't have the right objects in their purse or need help in adding onto those objects.

1. Hand Sanitizer

As a woman always on the go, it is important to have hand sanitizer in your purse. You never know what you might accidentally touch and how you may need your hands sanitized immediately. Maybe you are unable to reach a sink in time or there might not be a sink nearby. The best place to buy great smelling hand sanitizer is bath and body works. If your skin is sensitive to perfumed hand sanitizer, then you can easily get Purell from Walgreens, Walmart, or CVS.

2. Aspirin

Aspirin is very benefical to anyone that maybe around you at the time of need. It helps with pain, inflammation, and fevers. If you are around someone who is sick that needs medication, you can easily reach into your bag and give them aspirin.

3. Lipgloss/ Chapstick

Lipgloss or chapstick really helps relieve dryness of your lips and helps them to be moisturized. When you are around a friend, they may need some chapstick or lipgloss. The majority of the time your friend asks you for something is lipgloss or chapstick that they can use on their own lips. Lipgloss is beneficial to yourself and to others around you.

4. Cash

Have you ever noticed that when you went somewhere with only a debit card that there machines would be down and you had no cash ? This situation has happened to me and I am guessing it has also happened to others. It is important to keep cash on yourself in case this situation happens and you really need or want some food. I understand that sometimes using a card may limit the amount of money that you spend therefore, you should only have the exact amount of cash that you need to buy food, clothes, or something to drink. This way you won't go over the limit that you have set for yourself.

5. Mace

I think that it is important that you have mace in your purse at all times. Mace can help with avoiding being robbed or being taken advantage of. They do make mace in hand held sizes that can fit into your purse. You can find mace at a Walmart or any other convenient store.

6. Lotion

Lotion helps to moisturize your face, body, and hands. Whenever your skin is very dry, you can easily reach into your purse and pull out your lotion. Likewise, a friend might ask for lotion in case they have ran out. Lotion also helps your skin to be shiny, healthy, and prevents it from breaking down.

7. Tampon

A female never knows when her time of the month might be unless she counts the days. The majority of the time we are caught up in the hussle and bussle of life that we might not even notice. It can happen at any time and may even change date when you spend a lot of time around female friends due to closeness and hormones.

8. Mints/Gum

Imagine that you have just came from a chinese buffet and a really nice young man is approaching you. You do a quick breath check and realize that it is not all up to par. What do you do ? You immediately turn around, reach into your bag, and pop a couple of mints into your mouth. You turn around and pretend as if nothing has happened and began your conversation. Also, mints help in times of needs, when a friend needs them for a date.

9. Lighter/Matches

Have you ever went out with friends and there was always that random person that asks you for a lighter ? Here's your chance to offer them a light. Also, you may need to get something undone and may need fire to assist you. You maybe taking a trip somewhere and a fire might be needed to light something.

10. Compact Mirror

A compact mirror is very useful in showing a friend how she made a mistake applying her make-up and how to fix it. Also, they are helpful in applying lipstick onto your lips and for even applying lashes onto your eyelids. Compact mirrors are very useful for when you don't have an nice sized mirror nearby. You can purchase a compact mirror at a dollar store or at a convenient store.

Remember to have these few things in your purse at all times. They may be useful for yourself or others. If you have a big enough purse, you can even have a small emergency kit inside in case an accident occurs. You can include other things in your purse such as hair ties, eyelashes, ointment, etc. The amount of things that you have in your purse at once depends on how big your purse is and how much you want inside of it. Hopefully, my tips and choices that I've made come in handy to those that use them.
