Your Appearance does matter to You

Your skin will change as you age, so it is important to develop good skincare habits. You can use these secret tips to stop the look of aging on your face. Your appearance is the first impression other people get from you. Most importantly, you only get one body and one chance ......so let's learn the secrets to keeping your skin looking great instead of aging.

Keep your Skin Young with these Tips

The Best Eight Anti-Aging Skincare Tips to Keep Your Skin Young & Glowing

  1. Eat a healthy diet with fresh organic foods and plenty of fiber to keep a healthy digestive system. Avoid processed or packaged foods. Believe it or not but the lining of your gut is where toxins can enter and circulate if your eating the wrong diet. The lining in your gut is as thin as the lining on your face. When it functions properly with nutrients, it keeps your skin balanced and healthy and prevents toxins from entering the circulation.
  2. Drink at least 6 glasses (1.6 - 2 liters) of water daily. We lose water daily through evaporation through the skin. When this water is lost and not replaced, the dermis layer can't transfer moisture to the outer layer of skin. Over time it brings premature aging with wrinkles and superficial lines around the eye area.
  3. Get eight hours of good sleep every night. When you sleep, your body is making collagen which help with wrinkles. More collagen means skin is plumper and less likely to wrinkle. If you improve your sleep, you can see the results within two days.
  4. Cleanse and moisturize your skin daily. Cleansing your skin will keep it from getting dull and lifeless. Moisturizing is one of the main rules in caring for your skin. Use the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type.
  5. Exercising increases the oxygen levels in blood and rids of toxins. You won't get that skin glow on your face without exercising.
  6. Gently exfoliate regularly to slough off dead cells on the surface and encourage rejuvenation. Do this once or twice a week. Always be gentle with your skin, never scrub or rub on it.
  7. Wear SPF on your face year round. Make sure to wear SPF 30 in the winter and SPF 50 in the summer. This will prevent premature aging.
  8. Stress impacts your skin and will cause premature aging. Find time for yourself and balance your life the best that you can. Learn meditation and this will help tremendously. Set boundaries and learn to say no!

Take Good Care of Your Skin

Don't expect to stay young and be beautiful if you don't take care of yourself. You must dedicate time to your skincare routine. Invest in your skincare and you won't regret it over time. Keep products available and near the area where you can make this a habit. It is more difficult to get rid of wrinkles than it is to prevent them.

How Old is your Your Skin?

2 Quick Tests to Assess any Signs of Aging

  1. Assessment for deep lines on your face:
  • To check for any lines on your face just look in the mirror and keep your face expressionless (no smiling).
  • Any lines that are there when your face is relaxed and emotionless are already set there to stay unless you have a procedure or treatment done.
  • If interested in having treatment done to your face, do your research well and rely on personal recommendations.
  1. Sagging skin Assessment:
  • Get your mirror out (medium size).
  • Lay you mirror flat on a table in front of you.
  • Sitting above the mirror, look down slowly at your face.
  • Look for any slackening or sagging as you are looking downward.
  • Look to see anywhere on your face that is losing volume; this will be any part that is dropping downward.
  • This assessme will give you a good indication of what your face is going to look like as you grow older.
