What if the over the counter medicine doesn’t work?

A medication called retinoid is used to for adult patients to slow down the progression of pore blockage. Retinoid can also help with small wrinkle and lines in the face. Caution has to be used when using this drug because it may skin irritation.

There are oral medicines.

If topical creams don’t work there is prescription medicine that can be taken by mouth. This is usually reserved for the worst case of acne. The most common type of this medicine is Accutane.
