Treating your curly hair to it's personal doctor's appointment!

Updated on June 2, 2011

Crazy curls??

Unfortunately or fortunately, I was born with crazy curly hair...When it comes to dealing with my curly hair, there are a lot of things I do daily that damages it. For instance, I've always been a fan of the side-swept bangs. Pretty simple if you have beautiful straight hair that you can cut to fit your heart's desire, but for us frizz heads, it's a bit more complicated. Personally I choose to straighten my bangs because let's face it. The 80's are over and the curly, 4-foot poof on top of your head is out. I'm not saying it wasn't beautiful then, but times change.

Anyways, as you know, straightening causes a lot of damage. I'm also pretty avid with coloring and highlighting...You know, anything to slap my hair in the face (metaphorically speaking of course). So I'm speaking to you as a fellow curly-hair-sporting lady just trying to keep up with fashion, and I'm throwing my support behind these wonderful hair-helping products. Before you straighten any of your hair, think about how to save your hair. This will save you--and your gorgeous locks--in the long run!!

Crazy --> Healthy --> Straight

Highlighting my hair...Straightening my hair...Burning the crap out of my hair. You know, the usual.

Yeeeaaaahhh...That bad. Believe me, I know. This is what damage looks like folks...And believe it or not it wasn't a tornado. Simply a little neglect.
