Animal Print Swimwear

Updated on August 7, 2015

Animal Print Swimwear

I love animal print swimsuits, whether as an accessory or as an entire garment I just cannot resist it. Animal prints never seem to go out of style, the leopard, zebra, tiger and snake prints seem to come back every season with renewed strength.

Of course for Summer it is a must for your wardrobe to own at least one piece of animal print swimwear if you want to indulge in some poolside and beach glamour. Animal print swimsuits always make a statement and they look good on almost everyone, so you just need to worry about finding the best cut for your body shape.

Animal Print swimwear

Animal print swimwear always add a wild twist to the most conservative cut swimwear, like the animal print tankini from Victoria’s Secret -on the right- which incorporates its new miracle push up bra in all its swimsuits to give a generous and glamorous cleavage.

Notice on the right how you can wear a wild animal print, even a push up bikini top and still look classy. The secret is finding the best coverage for your body type.

Zebra print swimsuit

Zebra print swimwear is one of the easiest prints to wear as it goes with almost anything. The black and white zebra print always looks classy matched up with almost any colour.

"Neon Hot" Zebra Print Bikini

Giraffe print swimsuit

One of the most unusual prints that it is coming strong this summer is the giraffe print. The brown and cream combination of colours look understated so you can dare to wear an animal print swimsuit without fear of looking "over the top".

Animal Print bikini: The snake

Snake Print swimwear

This is one for those who are not intimidated by being different. This season the snake print has seen its come back mostly in gladiator sandals but if you really look for it you can find that unique piece of sbake print swimwear like the Fringed Reptile bikini on the right adorned with exotic beads from street water swimwear

Animal Print bikini: The tiger

This one screams wild and it is a nice alternative to the more popular leopard print.

Designer Animal Print Swimwear

Once upon a time, leopard-print was poo-pooed as being vulgar and garish. But designers have always loved the motif.

Animal prints are so classy, if you know how to wear them, that even Haute Couture designers like Cavalli and Dolce and Gabbana have included these prints in their collections.

The trick to look good and glamorous wearing animal prints is to keep the rest simple. If you are wearing an animal print bikini or dress, keep the rest of your outfit in one solid colour matching your print.

I think animal prints has a certain specialty through which its design looks well on the wearer. As such it has never been a good choice among many.

I’m big fan of animal print! Though, this year I discovered Freya swimwear just in time for my holiday to Cuba. I bought a couple of bikinis and absolutely love the designs and fitting. They’ve got a huge range, I’m not too sure if they’ve got animalistic designs but they’ve definitely got nice natural colours and floral patterns too. Reckon they’re well worth checking out!

In a way that's right Maria, animal prints shout "I am confident with my body" but it can also work the other way giving confidence to those who are shy about their bodies.

Animal print says confidence to me. If you're going to wear it in a swimsuit you'd better be confident about your body!

Fantastic hub, and not simply because I happen to be a guy who pleasures in seeing beautiful women in bikinis ;)

Usually I don't much care for animal print anything, but these were all stylistically different. Not like you normally would expect, for it to be a little over the top. The different color combinations and design patterns were appealing and didn't detract from the natural shape of the women's bodies, but rather, nicely accentuated them.

      Very nice.
