Beauty Problems and Solutions

  • Shiny Skin

Solution: Pat your T-zone down with a face powder to keep shine and grease at bay. If you don't want to use make up, split a two-ply tissue, and then use the single sheet to blot excess oil away.

  • Icy Breakouts

Solution: Ditch the habit of resting your chin or face on your hands during class lectures. Keep in mind that the germs from your palms can lead to unwanted blemishes. For random zits or PMS-related breakouts, use a potent pimple cream before going to bed, to help prevent it from erupting into a nasty, full-blown zit.

  • Stinky feet:

Solution: Before slipping your socks on, make sure your feet are clean and completely dry to help stop the odor causing bacteria from spreading. Tip: Do a foot scrub weekly to get of grime and dirt with a peppermint foot scrub! If your feet are extra sweaty, use a foot spray or sprinkle some foot powder onto your feet to help absorb the excess moisture.

TRY: Zen Zest: Peppermint Foot Scrub & Beauty Formulas Odour Control Foot Spray.

  • Flaky Skin:

Solution: Avoid scratching off dry patches that appear on your arms or legs since can lead to scrapes and scabies. Instead slough daily using a gentle body exfoliator in the shower. Be sure to moisturize right-after. If your classroom's air-conditioned stash some lotion in your locket, so you can reapply and rehydrate parched skin.

    TRY: Radox Smoothir Body Wash

  • B.O (Body Odor)

Forgot to apply deodorant? Just squirt some antibacterial hand gel on your palm, rub it onto your armpits, and gently wipe it off with a tissue. This will help kill germs and keep your fresh for the rest of the day. If you're still feeling self-conscious, lightly mist your uniform with a fresh-smelling body spray of perfume.

TRY: Bench BratSplash Instant Hand Sanitizer Gel

  • Bad hair day

When your hair just won't behave, apply a few drops of serum to the ends of your strands to tame frizz and flyaways. Then, slip on a cute headband or barrette to keep your strands in place? Flip your part. It's a quick way to change your look and dramatically improve your mane stitch.

TRY: L'Oreal Elseve Smooth-Intense Anti Freeze Serum

  • Chapped Lips

Got a flaky pout? Avoid gnawing on or licking your lops since this will make them more dry. Instead apply some lip balm before bedtime. When you wake up the next day, carefully slough flakes off with a dry toothbrush and reapply your balm as needed.

TRY: Allue My First Lip Conditioner

  • Excess Sweating

The banish embarrassing pit stains, try swiping on your deodorant at night and reapplying it after shower. You can also try using an anti-perspirant with a more concentrated doses. Bonus: You can use it to banish sweaty palms too too...Try using Driclor...

  • Nail Picking

Having chipped tips or hangnails can be pretty distracting when you're in class. If you don't have a nail cutter on hand, carefully snip them off using the tip of a sharp pair of scissors. Be sure to disinfect the scissors with alcohol first for hygienic purposes. Prevent dry, rough regrowth by packing a hand and cuticle salve in your school bag and applying it after you wash your hands. TRY: J.R. Watkins Apothecary Hand & Cuticle Salve

  • The "No Makeup" Rule ~ If you want to primp a little without getting into trouble, use a tinted moisturizer or dust on some translucent powder to even out your complexion. Next, curl your lashes to brighten up your eyes and swipe on lip gloss with a hint of tin to add a healthy shine to your pout. TRY: Kiehl's Lipgloss in French Rose & Shiseido Tinted Moisture Protection

  • Dark Eyebags ~ Unfortunately, staying up late to study for exams or write term papers can lead to unsightly dark circles. While resting is the best way to get rid of them, there are other things you can do to minimize these. Try applying an eye cream that aims to get rid of the shadows and is spiked with caffeine to nix puffiness under your eyes. You could try using Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll.

  • Cologne Overdose ~ Accidentally spraying yourself with too much perfume can make you and your seat mates / friends, etc dizzy. Tone down your scent by rubbing a bit of alcohol or fragrance-free hand sanitizer over the spots you spritzed. Next time, instead of spraying directly onto your skin, spray your cologne about three inches in front of you and walk into the mist. This way, you distribute the right amount evenly throughout your body - and you'll smell fab!

  • Wet Hair ~ When you leave the house with dripping strands, it becomes a magnet for dandruff-causing dirt and bacteria. If you can't dry your hair because you're running late in the morning, simply take a shower at night and dry your locks before bed. Another option. Use a super absorbent

  • Post-PE Grime

If your PE class is scheduled early in the afterwards, pack some baby wipes in your gym bag. You can wipe off some of the sweat and dirt and feel fresh the rest of the school day.

  • Bad Breath

If you can't brush your teeth, especially when you are in office, school, etc, the quickest way is use to freshen your breath is to rinse your moth to wash away some of the bacteria. Don't forget to pop a mint to help ward off foul breath!

    TRY: Little i Sugarfree Mints
