Benetint by Benefit

My New Favorite Thing

Benetint | Source

I am a huge Benefit Cosmetics fan, and this little nail polish look-a-like just might be my new favorite beauty product.

I've never used a stain before, but the concept was always neat to me. A lip color that stays on all day and withstands everything (even smooches!) Well, I finally got up the courage to test this one out, since it's outrageously popular. I'm so glad I did.

First off, the smell is divine. It smells lightly like roses, but that goes away after a few minutes. They make a lip balm as well, same color and same smell. (I had to get both after trying them out in Sephora.) The product is very thin and watery, so it takes some getting used to. I use the small brush attached to the lid to paint it on. You can build up the color by using multiple coats to achieve a deeper rose. Its slightly drying, so I like the lip balm over it (any chapstick or gloss will do).

This product was originally made for an exotic dancer, and is now one of the best selling products by Benefit. It's reached cult status, and it's easy to see why.

The color can go from soft to dramatic, and it compliments just about everyone's skin tone. I, myself, am very fair and it makes me look like a porcelain doll. It's best described as "I just ate a cherry popsicle." Sexy and sweet and the same time. It's fantastic, plain and simple.
