Best Epilator for Women 2015 - The Ultimate Guide

Updated on August 31, 2015

How to choose the best epilator for women

Hi girls! This is my first time writing an article, I saw my husband writing on HubPages and decided to give it a shot, maybe I`ll even open an account shortly if I`ll have the time and if the feedback will be positive. I hope I will provide you with the information needed in order to choose the best epilator for women.

I work in a beauty salon and I`ve had various epilators from the cheapest to the most expensive in my hands and as you know not all devices are created equal so what differentiates one from the other?

  • Build quality?
  • The number of tweezers?
  • Has light built in?
  • Pivoting head?
  • Safe to use under the shower or not?
  • Is it cordless?
  • How noisy is it?
  • Does it have additional accesories?
  • Can it remove unwanted hair from all areas of the body including the biking line and underarms?

I think these are most important things to consider when choosing an epilator because first you need comfort, as little pain as possible, you need to be able to easily see what you`re doing and don`t need to wake up the neighbors in the process :)

This is the result of several months of testing and I will only present the top 3 choices because I don`t want you to be more confused than needed.

Check out the Reviews and Best Price on Amazon

Based on our own testing and many online reviews we can clearly say this is the best women`s epilator at the moment and we`ll tell you exactly why compared to the other top 2 products.

This is a High End high price epilator that won`t disappoint + the cap for the sensitive areas like the bikini line and underarm work like a charm! You have it all with this epilator, it will remove unwanted hair from all areas of the body.

ATTACHMENTS

PROS:

  • It`s a German quality product that will not let you down
  • It works under water
  • It`s cordless
  • It has a light so you can see the results as you epilate
  • It`s not noisy compared to many other products
  • Will remove some of the finest hairs that many other epilators miss
  • Lots of accesories

CONS:

  • Battery life is not the greatest and because it`s cordless you can`t use it while charging
  • More expensive than other epilators

BRAUN SILK EPIL 7 in Action

PANASONIC ES-ED90-P

The Panasonic epilator is also a good choice and came up on second place in our test but some like it even more than the Braun 7 model.

  • As the Braun Silk Epil it has LED light
  • It can be used wet and dry
  • It has six attachments available
  • It is the only epilator at the moment with ceramic tweezers (48)
  • Charges fast and holds the charge enough so you can take your time, no need to be in a hurry- some users have reported 5 uses with only one charge. I always recharge my epilator at 100% after one use so I can`t comment on that.
  • It has a pivoting head
  • Rotary-style foot buffer that people just love

So why second place?

  • Poor build quality - one drop on the floor and you could say goodbye!

You could be lucky and this product could serve you for many years to come but I like the solid feel of the Braun model.

If Panasonic wouldl work on its products build quality I`m sure it could easily win the race because this epilator is EXTREMELY POWERFULL and versatile.

Emjoi AP-18 Emagine

The Emjoi AP-18 Emagine is without a doubt the most powerfull epilator, it has 72 tweezers!

For those on a budget I would recommend this epilator because it`s crazy powerfull and even though it doesn`t have all the fancy features of the Braun and the Panasonic, it can still do a fairly good job at removing unwanted hair.

PROS:

  • POWERFULL - most tweezers of all epilators
  • Antimicrobial Feature - Keeps you skin safe from infection by using a unique patented Silver Ion Technology
  • Fast results

CONS:

  • Corded use only
  • No LED light
  • Noisy
  • Users report feeling a bit more pain while epilating
  • Only dry usage

TIPS:

If you`re going to buy this product, try keeping the skin as stretched as possible while using it. Some users have reported the Emjoy caught a hunk of skin and while nothing bad happened it`s a scary experience!

Final words

I hope you liked our article and we helped you decide which is the best epilator for women in 2015. We really enjoyed it and will keep it updated as new products come along. Let`s see what toys next year will bring!
