Best shoes for prom 2010
Best shoes for prom
Best shoes for prom examples are below. Enjoy prom season! The platform sandal below is very versatile. I love the architecture of this shoe. The shoe has great structure. The basic black color can be worn with various prom dresses including many of those featured in my hub, Top Ten Spring 2010 Prom Dresses.
Another shoe with a great shape is the sandal below. Priced at $94.95, it is available in sizes 5-13 including wide width. It features a leather upper with synthetic lining and sole. The heel is 2 3/4" in height. The shoe is available in silver or gold but I definitely prefer the silver. Silver sandals are a very nice option for versatility as well and can look good with various prom dress styles and colors.
This silver sandal below is by far my favorite of all the silver sandals Nordstrom has to offer. Other choices include the "Wilma" sandal which I do not like nearly as much.
Below is a satin pump available at Nordstrom. At first the heel seemed like so much for a student going to high school prom to wear. It seemed like a bit much for anyone but overall I really like this shoe.
It has a very classy look. The heel is 4 1/2" with 1" platform and so is comparable to a 3 1/2" heel. It is priced at $89.95 and is available in sizes 5.5M-10M.
The choice of colors is champagne satin or black satin and the heel is wrapped in the satin too. Black might be the choice of color to be sure it matches your dress but I really like this champagne color featured below as well and would go with it if I was sure that it matched what I would be wearing.
Below is another very pretty shoe, also in the platform sandal style. It is the Jeffrey Campbell "Quartz" Platform Sandal and it is available in natural or black colors. One important thing to note is that the black sandal is offered in suede material while the natural color is offered in leather. So, the choices are suede or leather upper with a leather lining and rubber sole. Personally, I would prefer leather for the material of my shoe, not suede.
The heel height is 4" with 3/4" platform. The shoe is available in sizes 6-10M and the cost is $159.95.
The shoe below is one of my favorites currently featured at Dillard's. It is the Caparos "Kerry" Sandal. The available color is gold but it seems like a gentle color, not too bright. The color is close to the champagne color above. The heel is 3.75". The shoe has a metallic leather upper that seems striking. The cost of this shoe is $75.
After perusing various shoe vendors including Nordstrom, Dillard's and Macys for what is available this season, the shoes noted above are definitely some of my absolute favorites. I hope this article has been helpful to you as you look to find the perfect shoe for prom!
