Best Bath and Body Works Scents for Spring and Summer
Spring Is In the Air ... Finally!
It's been a long winter, but the temperatures are warming up. Rain is falling. Flowers and trees are blooming everywhere. This is the season of re-birth, and personal fragrance company Bath and Body Works has a number of great fragrances to celebrate it.
I've been a fan of Bath and Body Works for a long time now - ever since the late '90s. I've been using one of the fragrances on this list, Cucumber Melon, ever since then.
This is a list of some of my favorite spring fragrances. And I really love the fact that all the scents on this list are perfect for summer, too.
So sit back, relax, and read about some fragrances that will complement anything and everything in your spring and summer wardrobes!
If the name doesn't absolutely scream, "Wear me in the spring and summer!," the fragrance will. The top notes include citrus-y tangerine and exotic banana leaf. The mid notes are equally exotic: orchid, Asian syringa flower, and French mimosa. And the base notes, coconut milk and musk, will leave you dreaming of being stranded on a tropical island.
This is one of the newest Bath and Body Works fragrances, and it's a lot of fun to wear. As I get older, I grow more appreciative of exotic scents. So often, exotic means really over-powering, but that is not the case with this fragrance mist. This is sure to be a favorite of mine for years to come, as long as Bath and Body Works keeps producing it!
I never would have bought this for myself. I was a little annoyed when my mother-in-law gave it to me as a gift a few years ago. I took one whiff and decided it was way too flowery. I stuck it in my medicine cabinet and put it away for another day.
When that other day finally came, I discovered that I wasn't as opposed to the scent as I originally thought. The watermelon, cherry blossom, and freesia are perfect for spring and summertime.
This is a beautiful, feminine scent. And I really love the lotion version. I never have to re-apply. The scent and moisture last all day!
This is a classic fragrance - for good reason. It's about as near-perfect as a fragrance can get. It's light and refreshing. This is the best thing you can spray on those hot days. You'll feel instantly fresher. And the scent doesn't get distorted like some of the other scents when it gets too hot. The best part about it is that it doesn't seem like the fragrance has changed very much at all since I first began using it over ten years ago.
I don't know what it is about this fragrance - if it's the muguet (lily of the valley), cucumber, or honeydew - but something in it manages to lighten my spirits everytime I wear it. This has long been a favorite scent of mine, and it will continue to be a favorite for as long as Bath and Body Works keeps it around.
This is another fragrance that has been in the Bath and Body Works collection for a very long time. Unlike Cucumber Melon, though, this fragrance seems to have changed over the years, but that's a good thing, as far as I'm concerned.
I used to think it made me smell like a giant grape, and I didn't like that at all. Now, though, that overpowering grape-y scent is gone - at least, it is to my nose - and I can't even figure out what made it smell like that in the first place. Grape isn't anywhere in the fragrance notes, which include: sweet pea, watery pear, logan berry, rhubarb, cyclamen, freesia, and raspberry.
Maybe one of the fruity scents was rubbing me the wrong way. Who knows? All I know is that I'm glad I gave this scent another chance!
Flowers and Fruit
Floral and fruity is the way to go in the spring and summer when it comes to the best body fragrances, and Bath and Body Works has a great selection of both.
Over the years, they've established themselves as a leader in the personal fragrance industry, especially when it comes to value. I've always been a big fan of their fragrances and their sales.
Right now their web site is running a special "buy 3, get 3 free" sale. So, hopefully this hub has given you some ideas of new scents to try. Or maybe it's just reminded you of some old favorites you want to revisit. Either way, I hope you've enjoyed reading about some of my favorites.
