There is a not very common, but beautiful jade that is known as blue jade. There is a “glow” in blue jade, meaning it shines a little and according to many cultures, resembles the sky and heavens. Blue Jade: Where Can It Be Found
Only two locations produce commercial amount of blue jadeite, they are Myanmar (Burma) and Guatemala. A recent discovery in the deep wild mountains of Guatemala has shown that Guatemala has a vast area of blue jade, like the size of Rhode Island; some of the jadeite there is surprisingly higher in quality than Burmese jadeite. This blue jade also appears to be the same jade used by Olmec in Costa Rica.
