Pajamas for Teenage Girls Under $20

Updated on August 24, 2014

Save Money with Cheap Pajamas

My teenage daughter loves to wear pajamas around the house. At the same time, she wants to look cute and stylish, especially if she has friends over. She also likes to have cute pajamas to wear to sleepovers. After all, who wants to show up in ratty, faded jammies? That's no good!

Still, we only have so much money in the budget for her wardrobe. If she spends too much on sleepwear, she has less to put towards school clothes. It can be hard to stretch the dollars to buy all the things she needs, much less for the cute styles she wants.

I am about to share with you our secret weapon, when it comes to finding fashion bargains, especially pajamas. Amazon is our best source for cheap sleepwear. They have a great selection of styles for teenage girls, and their clearance prices are amazing.

Teenagers enjoy wearing cute and comfortable pajamas, but don't want to spend a lot of money.

Save Money with Amazon Prime

As a single mother with a limited income, I really appreciate the opportunity to save money by shopping on Amazon's clearance pages. Have you ever checked them out?

I usually get free shipping by being an Amazon Prime member. This service is worth every penny. Even though it has gone up to $99 a year, that is still less than $8 a month; and, it includes so much besides shipping. I have found it to be a good investment.

Not every pajama set is eligible for free shipping. You can skip those if you like, but often you can find bargains where the item is dirt cheap and you just pay shipping costs. For example, this morning they had 15 graphic nightshirts for a penny each plus $5.99 shipping. That's a bargain that we can live with!

You never really know what you will find, but that is part of the fun. The next fun thing is receiving that package in the mail with your new goodies! We love the sound of that big, brown truck pulling up in front of our house!

Junior Pajama Set Under $10

Now this is what I call a bargain! Amazon is showing you the list price. You will have to visit their site to see the price they are actually charging. I'm not allowed to say what it is, but I can tell you it is a fraction of the regular cost.

My daughter wears these shorty sets all summer, and she would probably wear them all winter if our house wasn't so cold and drafty. There is really nothing more comfortable than shorts and a tank, especially in hot weather.

This little outfit is so cute, with the Paul Frank monkey at the end of the rainbow. Plus, it comes in 100% cotton fabric, which is so cool and breathable. It will keep her comfortable on even the hottest days.

These jammies come in Junior sizes, from small to extra large. Just right for most teens!

Lauren's Pajamas of the Week

Cute P.J.'s for Every Night of the Week

Check out this video where Lauren shows off the pajamas she wore each night for one week. This girl has got some very cute jammies, with socks and/or slippers to match!

If you are a teenage girl you can critique each pair of pajamas. Is this the style you like to wear? Or would you rather be caught dead?

If you are a mom, I think you will approve of most of these selections and probably all of them. I think I would feel comfortable with my daughter wearing any of these.

So Cute for Hello Kitty Fans!

If you are a Hello Kitty fan (or know one), this set is a great buy! Not only is it as cute as it can be, but the price is exceptional.

I love the graphic of Kitty in a pile of bows. She's adorable! But then, isn't she always?!

The tank top has a racer back, which is always comfortable for sleeping. The pants are fleece, for extra warmth in the cold weather that is on its way.

This set comes in Junior sizes small to extra-large. It is available in either white and black, or red and black. It may be hard to choose, since they are both so cute. Honestly, at this price, you can afford to buy both versions. I believe the tops and pants will mix and match, which makes this purchase an even better bargain. Four sleeping outfits for less than the price of one in a department store!

Keep your Hello Kitty fan warm this winter with this cute and affordable sleep set!

Pajamas are Easy to Sew

Even if you don't have a lot of sewing experience, pajamas are easy to make. You can buy patterns to guide you, but you can also make them without using a printed pattern.

You can find free patterns on the internet. You can use a pair of pajama pants you already have as a pattern to make a new pair. You can find instructions on You Tube to guide you along.

The lady on this video uses a pair of her favorite jeans as a pattern to make a comfy pair of pajama bottoms to wear while lounging. You can see how simple it is!

Does this look like something you would like to try?

I didn't know that Amazon has a clearance page. I *still* shop like a poor college student. Thanks for the tip.
