Bright smile!

Special Occasion White Teeth

There are many options to get your teeth sparking white. You can go the pricey route and get laser whitening such as Zoom Whitening, but that can come in around $350.00 and up depending on where you live. Luckily I live in a small rural town so the prices are lower. This treatment does have its perks as you can go six to nine shades lighter in a matter of forty five minutes. As an actor of course I have to maintain a bride and shining smile. While I treated myself to this treatment last summer I would now opt for a more at home style treatment in the future. Now of course you can use at home treatments like Crest 3D Whitening Strips, but those can cost between $30.00 to $40.00. So this is not even ideal for every budget.

Instead I am going to share with you some DIY budget friendly ways to get a photo perfect bright smile. Dentists have actually suggested this treatment as well.

What you need:

  • Small amount of toothpaste, I’d recommend Sensodyne Full Protection Plus Whitening with Fluoride Toothpaste.
  • 1 TSP of Baking Soda
  • 1 TSP of Hydrogen Peroxide
  • ½ TSP of Water
  • Small bowl or jar (Your choice)
  • Toothbrush

Directions:

Grab your container and mix the toothpaste, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water. Make sure you mix the contents thoroughly. Add as much toothpaste as you feel is comfortable for you. Put the contents onto your tooth brush and proceed to brush your teeth for two full minutes. I would advise that you hum a song like the national anthem or set a timer.

Now if you want to see some good results then be sure to do this once a week until you have reached the results you want. Once you have reached your desire whiteness make sure to limit yourself to using the whitening treatment once every month or two. You do not want to damage the enamel of your teeth. Also if you have a special event coming up try to stay away foods that strong staining agents.

Avoid:

  • Red Whine
  • Kool-aid
  • Soda
  • Soy Sauce
  • Smoking
  • Ketchup
  • Pasta Sauces
  • Etc

Recommended:

  • Rice
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Egg Whites
  • Bread
  • Mayo
  • Miracle Whip
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Milk
  • Cauliflower
  • Apple
  • Oatmeal
  • Etc

You have many options for avoiding bright or dark colored foods that can slow the results. If you take this DIY recipe and the suggestions then you should have a wonderfully bright smile in no time. So I hope you will give this a budget friendly option a try.
