DIY Facial Toner and Moisturizer

Updated on January 2, 2012

As my readers know, I am not a fan of store bought skin care items. With all the acidic and alcohol content it really dries out my skin. No matter what products I tried none of them worked as well as what I make myself. These are such easy recipes and these items can be found within your own pantries! It is easy, green, and is not tested on animals. As with all facial products I always suggest using a small test area on your body. I care about my readers so I want everyone to be safe. No need for any crazy skin reactions. But, as I said these are natural so I have never personally experienced any problems. I have a two recipes here to share with you.

First we will look at:

Tomato juice & Honey Toner

What do you need:

Small Jar or bottle

3 tablespoons fresh Tomato juice

1 teaspoon dark organic Honey

Directions:

Mix the tomato juice and the honey until it forms a thick substance. It should be sticky so that it will stay on your face.

Gently apply this to your cleansed face (See my DIY Facial Scrub). Treat yourself to a nice facial massage rubbing the mixture onto your face in little circular movements. Also apply it to your neck. Avoid sensitive areas like you eyes and upper lip.

Now grab a book or turn on the TV and sit back for fifteen minutes. After 15 minutes rinse the toner off with warm water. Gently dab your face. Never rub your face with a towel it will make your face red and irritated. (THAT’S FOR ANYTIME YOU WASH YOUR FACE).

Summer’s Day Facial Moisterizer

What do you need:

Small Jar or Bottle

1 fresh ripe Peach

1 tablespoon Coconut oil

1 teaspoon Almond oil

1/4 teaspoon Orange oil

1/4 teaspoon Rose water

Directions:

First you will want to take that peach, peel, and remove the pit. Then you need to mash it to a pulp. Next grab a strainer and strain it. Then you need to add the rest of the ingredients. Whip your mixture until it takes on a fluffy consistency. You can keep this in the fridge for a few days!

Well there you have it! Some of my favorite recipes. Enjoy!
