DIY Glowy Skin For That Night Out

Updated on October 16, 2012

The harsh winter weather can be rough on your skin leaving it dull and dry. This is inconvenient when you may have a big event coming up like an anniversary or even a wedding. Personally, I have had a series of auditions and trips that have made me want to use this facial mask. Nothing is worse then looking back at your pictures and wondering what on earth happened. Well instead of stressing over your skin treat yourself to a spa day. Whenever you have a spare afternoon pop out the food processor and give this DIY facial mask a try. It is very simple and doesn't require a lot of technique just a food processor and some key ingredients.

  • Food Processor
  • 4 Strawberries
  • 2 Slices of Papaya
  • 1/2 a Banana
  • 2 Tablespoons of Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey
  • 1/4 a Cup of Sugar in the Raw (Organic)

It is quite simple! You just take all of the ingredients and blend them in a food processor until it reaches a smooth texture. Now spread the mixture onto your clean face and neck. Leave this on for 15-20 minutes. Then you can wash it off with cold water.

NOTES: As always I recommend that you always take the mask and do a small test area before placing it onto your face. Your face normally is much more sensitive than the rest of your body. Also you don't want your face all red and blotchy from any kind of a reaction. However, this is a natural recipe so its very unlikely that you will have any such reaction. This facial mask is great to give you a subtle glow to help heal that dull winter skin. You will look much more stunning for that big event! Even if you don't have a big event coming up just treating yourself to a spa day is great thing. Give yourself a break from your hectic schedule and just take a half hour for yourself. We place far to much stress on our bodies and minds so take the time to relax.

Well, I have just harvested ripe papaya in my garden today. I´ll give it a try but without strawberry and yoghurt. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds wonderful, and where I live the weather is drying my face and at the same time produces oily areas, lovely I tell you. I can't wait to give this a try!

Will have to give this spa-level skin treatment a try. I've used raw honey as a mask in the past and have reaped good benefits. The additional ingredients here sound like they will be soothing not just to the skin but also as aromatherapy while the mask is in place.
