Exfoliators, should we take them seriously?
It's your skin!
Your skin has layers. If you irritate the top layer ,which is called the epidermis, you could get an infection. Sometimes we get a little over zealous with our skincare thinking we are doing the right thing and use an exfoliator a little too long on our skin. Your face is more sensitive than the rest of your body . That means whatever you but on your face has to be gentle and free of irritants that might cause problems down the road. It only takes about four rotations with your fingers on your face with an exfoliator to do the job of ridding your pores of deep down dirt and oils that cause pimples and blackheads.
Not a means to an end.
Exfoliators are not a means to an end. Meaning you should never use them by themselves without a skincare regimen. It is an important part of the cleansing process and should never be done if you are not going to do the proper steps that follow other than just washing your face. I assure you it does not take much to upset the delicate ph balance of your skin if you abuse the exfoliating process or use it out of order of your regular regimen. After all, it is your skin. So don't put yourself at risk.
