Fall fashion ideas you can fall in love with

Updated on January 15, 2014

Fall fashion is fun!

A few simple ideas and accessories

Winter will be here in no time, which means heavy coats and scarves and gloves. Trudging through piles of snow does not create visions of fashion! Well...not for most people anyhow.

But the good new is, with a little changes you can remain looking very fashionable before taking out all your winter attire.

One great thing about fall is all your preconceived notions of how fashion needs to be can go right out the window. You can get a little bold and crazy without looking like a maniac. It's the final season to wear whatever you like before everything turns cold and gray.

Updating your wardrobe to fit the season while remaining trendy and fresh is easy with a few simple accessories, and they won't break the bank either. Before winter strikes again, try a few of these ideas to keep you feeling current and fun in the fall.

Replace your purse with a backpack or satchel

Not only is a backpack super great to carry all your stuff, but you can really change the look of your outfit with it. Plus both straps will ease the load of a heavy purse on one shoulder. Find any backpack in a fall color, earth tones, army greens, neutral shades, and deep golds or brown. Even plaids work great for fall. And you can never fail with the lovingly worn out leather look.

Go Cobalt blue

Cobalt blue is a great color. It adds just the right amount of bright, while remaining classy, sophisticated and elegant. Add a solid cobalt blue top or pencil shirt to feel colorful but not loud.

Animal prints, geek glasses, and big stud earrings!

You can't really go wrong with an animal print in the fall. Just keep it a bit low-key. Animal printed flats, or scarves paired with a solid color shirt add just the right amount of fierce to any outfit.

Having 20/20 vision doesn't mean you have to skip the fun of wearing funky geek glasses. You'll look studious and feel sassy!

Big stud earrings, pierced or clip-on's are another simple accessory you can add and change easily to add fall spice and keep things lively as the leaves change colors! Same goes for long draping beaded necklaces and over the top jeweled rings.

Silver belts will jazz up your look and make you feel more polished!

Get creative, you can find a lot of these items at your local thrift store for just a few bucks!

Complete your look with red, the new netural

Red is fabulous for a punch of color, and you can wear it with anything! Just like cobalt it can add a big splash of color without being over the top. Treat it like black, it really can work with anything, and it will really make you stand out in the fall when everything starts changing various shades of yellows, oranges, greens and browns.

A sultry red lip stain, nail polish, earrings or bag will really give great color to an otherwise neutral outfit and pair excellently with your animal print flats!

Check out these places for great finds

A few of my favorite places to find clothing and accessories without feeling guilty from a bill are local thrift stores, Sammy Dress (a cheap website in China, order up because sizes run small), and Listia a great site where you can not only trade but get rid of things you no longer want!

You can easily rotate and change your look without any guilt by using these locations and websites.
