How to Reduce Bad Hair Days
These products work for natural and relaxed hair.
Organix is my #1 brand when shopping for shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair smell amazing, softer, and nourished. The best part about this brand is it contains natural ingredients and excludes harsh chemicals such as sulfate, that strip your hair. They also have different types of shampoo and conditioners to help with any problem you’re having with your hair. For example, for hair repair I use awaphui ginger and for anti-breakage they have keratin oil. Organix oils also works wonders. I always use their Argan oil of Morocco. It gives my hair shine without weighting it down. Not only does it provide shine but it moisturizes, smoothes frizzes, and protects hair from heat styling products.
The Pro Royale Straightener is AMAZING! It’s the best flat iron I ever used. This works on any type of hair and it’s great for styling. The flat iron straightens, curls, and flips. The Royale straightener can be used on dry or even slightly damp hair. It has a controlled temperature you can set, and heats up to 410 degrees. The Royale doesn’t over heat and damage my hair, and as a result it leaves my hair bouncy and flowy. The Royale has ceramic plates that radiate far-infrared heat, to help preserve and protect the hair cuticles from damage. The far-infrared heat helps softens hair and gives you salon looking hair. I can go months without a relaxer with the help of this flat iron to flatten out my new growth. Another plus about this product is that it contains nano-silver technology. This technology helps clean 99.9% of bacteria while styling hair.
Oleo Therapy Hot Oil Treatment by L'Oreal is a self heating hot oil treatment. This product is used to nourish damaged and relaxed hair. You apply one tube to wet hair, and message into your scalp, after shampooing and conditioning. After you apply the oil wait 1-3 minutes and rinse. It comes with four tubes but you only need one for your head. I bought it because my scalp is dry, but it didn’t help, although it did make my hair silky. I later found out that its “infused with a six flower blend formula that silkens and illuminates for healthy looking, shiny hair,” L'Oreal. Some active ingredients include carrot oil, coconut oil, and flower extracts. One con about it is you have to put a lot on to feel it warm up, and its only slightly warm.

Maybe its Maybelline. Most of the time when I go to the drug store I see fifty shades of beige of foundation. As a black girl this is very frustrating. I’ve tried MAC but their products are expensive and make my face more oily, and I'm constantly patting the shine away. Maybelline on the other hand is wonderful. They have all different shades. So far I've used Maybelline Fit Me! and Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse. These foundations are light-weight and didn’t make my face super oily.
Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 gets 2 thumbs up. The palette comes with 12 beautiful colors of rose hues and neutrals. The eye shadow comes in a rectangular compact with a mirror, and a two sided brush. The colors apply smoothly, blend very well, and wont crease. I highly recommend this product to get a professional look. I also used the Sin Urban Decay eye primer, to make the eye shadow pop even more and last longer. The primer gives your eyes a shimmering champagne color, so it can be used just as an eye shadow if you wanted.
