Firma Face XR Review

Firma Face

Firma Face XR is a really cool as seen on TV product that caught my attention due its commercial starring Jennifer Flavin. It had been a long time since I'd seen her and she looked great. In the commercial she is listed as the founder of the Serious Skin Care Line and Firma Face XR is one of their products.

Firma Face is kind of like a non surgical face lift. It's a skin tightening lotion you apply to your face much like a wash but you let it sit for 3 minutes and rinse away. During the first application it will tighten facial skin and as a result will give you younger skin. Well, younger looking skin anyway.

It sounded like the same old As Seen On TV wild claims to me but the Firma Face XR reviews are rather positive, so I wanted to put it to the test. Before we get to the review, as always, let's start with the Firma Face XR commercial. It's not so great compared to the other wild As Seen On TV product commercials but it does show the product in action.

Firma Face XR Commercial - Serious Skin Care Line

So you may have noticed that Jennifer Flavin calls Firma Face a facial firmer.  I'm not sure what that it is but I suppose it's the same as a skin tightening lotion.  At any rate, it's suppose to tighten facial skin by lifting, toning and smoothing.  It apparently does so instantly which makes you look younger in minutes. (I'll let you know if it did in a moment).

The idea is that whatever is in Firma Face XR will penetrate the pores, lines and wrinkles in the skin and will firm and lift from the inside out.  After you apply it you wait just 3 minutes and wash away the lotion which leaves behind invisible time activated micro-tighteners.  Somehow, applying moisturizer and make up reactivates Firma Face giving your face and neck a TEMPORARY  all day tightening lift.

I suppose it's like a non surgical face lift in a tube, but if it works well it would replace the need for injections and other pricey procedures designed to do similar things. So it sounds pretty good.

The kicker is when Jennifer Flavin says that 100% of the women who tried Firma Face XR said their face felt firmer after just 1 application.  With endorsement like that, you know I was tempted to try it.

Firma Face Review

So OK, here goes my firma face review. First I must admit that this product is geared toward women and doesn't mention men using it at all in the video. However, I've read reviews of the Serious Skin Care line of products written by men who've used them. So as a man, I figured I'd give this product a whirl because I'm an as seen on TV product junkie if you haven't guessed by now.

I grew up in the South and never used sun screen as a child. The years of sun damage along with age have my skin a bit wrinkled and I have crow's feet below the eyes. I'm not the most vain person in the world, but I've really wanted to tighten my facial skin for some time now. I wasn't sure how to do it but I never expected a product like this to be the answer.

So I did buy Firma Face and gave the product a good going over. It took a few weeks to arrive but once it finally came I was impressed. I followed the directions and felt that my facial skin tightened on the first application as promised. It was kind of like the feeling of a facial mask but when I rinsed it after after 3 minutes the tightening sensation remained. I was shocked to tell you the truth. It worked great around the neck area as well.

I wouldn't go as far to say that it was as good as a non surgical face lift because there are varying degrees of aggressiveness with procedures and products but I believe there is some benefit to Firma Face XR.

I read several reviews online and people either love it or hate it. There's not much in between. I've noticed that most positive Firma Face reviews come from women over 40 who claim to have a lot of wrinkles. This says to me that the product helps those who need it most but doesn't do a whole lot for women with just a few lines or wrinkles. Perhaps the facial tightening works best on those whose skin has thinned due to age it doesn't take much to feel the benefit of a skin tightening lotion.

I wouldn't put Jennifer Flavin in such a category but if there's any possibility that Firma Face XR is what is keeping her looking so good, then it may be worth a try for you.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Best Firma Face Offers. Below is a copy of the Ad I bought mine from but your best bet right now may be to buy Firma Facehere:

I have been using this since it came out. It also has cumulative effects because of the Retinol. After I rinse my skin is always tighter. It isn't Botox or injections but in a pinch it is pretty darn great or for between treatments.

      Firma –Face XR:

I’ve been using Firma-Face XR for the last 7 days, and I love it. Prior to purchasing the product, I read numerous reviews on it; people either “absolutely loved it, or absolutely hated it. But after reviewing it I still felt curious and compelled to give it a try, and since it came with a 30 day money back guarantee, I thought what the hell, worst case scenario I could slap the return label on it and send it back, no harm no foul.

I received Firma-Face in the mail just after a few days of ordering from HSN. I opened the box and read the instructions and ingredients carefully. The first few ingredients listed were acid compounds I didn’t recognize; a bit unsettling, vanity aside, I had no intentions of burning my skin off although I did recognize one of the acids: glycolic, an ingredient commonly used in facial peels. The only other ingredients that I could readily identify were retinol; a stimulant for collagen production, and caffeine; when applied topically constricts the skin tissue therefore acting as a firming agent to tighten and reduce the size of your pores. I followed the instructions to the letter, it was very easy. I applied Firma-Face and set the kitchen timer for 4 minutes; it recommends leaving it on for an additional minute after the initial 3 minutes prior to rinsing. Within seconds after applying, I could feel a slight burning followed by a cooling sensation as it tightened. After rinsing it off my complexion looked flawless, almost like glass the pores shrank substantially and the fine lines around my chin and mouth where less noticeable, and even the droopy skin on my eye lids looked firmer making my eyes appear fresh and awake. Afterwards, I mixed a little bit of the product into my moisturizer and eye cream and applied it directly to my face and eyes followed by additional moisturizer; the product tends to be a bit drying from the acid compounds and can otherwise leave a slight opaque matte finish without the additional moisturizer.

In all fairness, I think for those who hated it, may have had unrealistic expectations or may have extremely sensitive skin. It is as it states: a TEMPORARY result, not permanent. You have to approach it for what it is; a facial and pre-makeup primer not a” miracle” in a tub. However, with continued use the effects of glycolic acid and retinol are lasting, but initially the immediate effect is temporary; since I’m not a chemist or dermatologist, I’m still unsure as to how all the other ingredients play into it

What I absolutely loved most about it was how liberating it was not to have to apply any foundation or powder afterwards, it evened out my skin tone beautifully I just lightly added some blush and lipstick, and finished with a touch of mascara; I didn’t want to detract from the beauty and clarity of my new skin. On a value level, I think it’s a great value, I’ve shelled out hundreds and thousands of dollars over the years for injections and retinol at the dermatologist, so at $50.00 for a 2 month supply, that’s $300 a year and I’ve spent twice that at the makeup counter with less results I strongly feel it’s an excellent value and a great addition to my tool box/makeup kit. Just bear in mind that it’s a tool, not a magic wand.

      Sincerely,

      53 & loving it!

Sorry, but Firma Face promises a lot and delivers very little. Once you rinse off the product, you're left with the same face and all the sags reappear as before. There was no residual tightening effect. Read the reviews of this product on HSN's website. It gets 2 stars out of 5. We women have become too gullible about trying to find a fountain of youth in a bottle. If you think logically about it, sagging skin is loss of elasticity and the underlying muscle and a cream or lotion cannot possibly change that.

Ordered this from HSN. I'm 61 and watching my face go the way of a downhill ski run. Was never interested in spending hundreds of dollars on cosmetics, but admittedly tired of wondering who the old woman in the mirror is. Tried this for the first time moments ago. Follow the directions and you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was. I believe it works the best for those of us who have more aging symptoms, rather than just a little crow's feet.
