DIY Nail Art Designs: French Tip Nail Art Stamping Kit Review

Updated on May 13, 2012

I’ve been sent a French tip stamping nail art kit from Born Pretty Store, and I’d like to let other potential clients know what to expect if they use this, or a similar, stamping kit. I was really excited to receive the kit and my overall impressions were, and still are, positive. It’s going to take a little practice to learn how to use it properly, but I’m sure once I get the placement down, I’ll be good to go! The video includes a short demonstration as well, just in case you’re curious to see how it works. This is one of the most exciting additions to my DIY nail art designs kit!

The Product

When I received the item it was in perfect condition and exactly as described on the website. Some of the images on the plates differ from what is shown on the website, but it’s nothing major. The designs are stunning and really intricate. The set included two French tip image plates, a stamper and a scraper.

Product Performance

The nail art stamping kit works exactly as you would expect, and the designs are not blurry at all when they’ve been transferred onto the nail. The scraper is one with a metal edge, so it works well. I’ve heard that plastic scrapers can leave behind some nail polish, so ones with a metal edge may be a better choice.

Packaging and Shipping

The packaging was great and the items were well packaged to prevent damage during shipping. The plates came in protective cellophane sleeves and so did the stamper and scraper set. Everything arrived in a padded envelope and any fragile items are always wrapped and taped up individually.

Shipping took a little while, but with Easter and a few public holidays in South Africa, customs took their sweet time getting the parcel to me. US customers report shipping time of around two weeks, for me it’s between three and four weeks.

Customer Service

I can’t say enough about Born Pretty Store’s customer service. They are very communicative, friendly and helpful. I’ve not had any issues with products I’ve received from them so far, but I’m sure they would resolve any problems I have very quickly, should any arise. Their email responses are prompt and always pleasant.

Extra Details, Freebies, and Coupons

I am planning on purchasing more image plates from them to use with the stamper and scraper. There's a massive variety of plates, even the jumbo ones with 40+ designs on one plate, so there's no limit to the DIY nail art designs you could create with a few extra plates.

If you’d like to view the item you can head over to Born Pretty Store. The set sells for $4.37 which is a great deal compared to some other online vendors. If you use the coupon ATELLW21, you’ll receive 5% off your purchase. Shipping is free worldwide, so that’s another way to save.

They’re also doing a giveaway on their Facebook page. The giveaway is for 1000 crystal rings, so if you’d like a chance to get one of the freebies, have a look for details on how to enter the giveaway.

I hope this review has helped someone, and if you have questions about the product or anything related, please feel free to leave a comment. I’ll be happy to help wherever I can.
