Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Shampoo, Conditioner and 1-min moisture Replenish

Although Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Shampoo, Conditioner and 1-minute moisture Replenish, may not be a really trendy or popular product yet, there are some things that should be said about it now, to help speed along the popularity.

Product Packaging

The products are in bright green bottles, which makes them very hard to miss. The conditioners are in bottles that stand upright so that the product dispenses from the bottom. I like this. it makes it easy to get every drop of the product out as it depletes. The shampoo bottle is opposite, and I hope at some point in the future they reconsider this design for the previous reason stated.

The bottles depict colorful photos of Goji Berry, Passion Fruit and Kiwi.

The cool thing about the packaging to me is that it is Eco Friendly. 30% of it is recycled PET plastic. Although there is a disclosure that says to remove the cap on the shampoo and conditioner before recycling. I'm not sure why this needs to be done, but that seems odd to me.

Hydra Recharge

Why I tried this product

I have very long, extremely straight hair. It is also fine, limp (has no body whats-so-ever), and is oily on the top and dry at the ends. Gross!

I'm always looking for a shampoo that helps thicken, repair, and add body if possible. Scent is a bonus but I'm not very picky about that if the product works well.

I used all these products for a full week before writing this review.

Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Shampoo

First off, as previously mentioned I didn't like the design of the bottle. The lid has this tiny green nub that you should be able to lift and open with your fingers, and honestly...it's not that easy to open, the conditioner bottle is the same style lid (perhaps this has something to due with the recycling disclosure). Also, when it runs out, I can't stand it upside down to extract all of the product.

However, it has a wonderful smell. I can definitely smell the kiwi, and other undertones of fruit. I feel like I smell watermelon, pineapple and lime, which contradicts the ingredients. But I probably don't have the most accurate sense of smell.

As stated, my hair is very long, almost down to my belly button. I did not require much of this shampoo to get a really good lather going. About the drop of a quarter size amount worked great, which is nice. With a weeks use, I'm still about 90-95% full on all three products.

The lather of this shampoo is fantastic, and the formula felt nice and thick in my hair as I washed.

Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Conditioner

For me, conditioner is very important because of how dry the ends of my hair get. I typically use a Coconut Oil hair mask 2-3 times a week, or Biolage Hair Balm conditioner.

I would not use this conditioner on a regular basis because the consistency is to thin for my preference. I felt like it was harder to evenly distribute in my hair. When you first squirt it into your hands it seems thick, but then felt like it ran thin and I wanted to use more.

It was decent enough, but I wasn't super excited to use it. You know that excited feeling you get when you have a new product to try? Yeah...I only had that feeling before I used it, (women know what I'm talking about here).

A pro however here was again, the smell. It smells awesome! I'm not sure what I'm sensing here, but the conditioner has a slightly sweeter smell than the shampoo, equally lovely. I don't know if this is a passion fruit smell or goji berry, I don't even know what a goji berry is! Doesn't matter, smells really good!

It did rinse cleanly out of my hair.

All in all not a bad conditioner, it was okay.

Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge 1-minute moisture-plenish

When I used the 1-Minute Moisture-PlenishTreatment I left it on for about 5 minutes, not 1. This conditioner worked pretty well. Again, when comparing the smell of this to the shampoo and regular conditioner, it smelled fabulous. Yet not quite like the others.

Again the conditioner seemed thin to me, but worked better than the normal conditioner, I'm not sure why.

The best thing about this conditioner was how soft it left my hair and it was weightless. I mean it was really soft, like silk. I did notice throughout the week that my hair had some static though, which was annoying.

I'd probably buy this conditioner to use with other shampoo and conditioners.
