Get an Oscars worth movie star complexion with G.M. Collin

Updated on January 25, 2016

G.M Collin has been creating upscale skincare products with a scientific focus since 1957. They started their operations in France, which has had a tradition of revering luxury for nearly 400 years. Their King Louis XIV, the "Sun King", created a clever system of sumptuary laws which goaded the residing nobility to constantly compete for the best appearances. G.M. Collin was just carrying on the finest tradition!

Later, the company moved to Montreal and reformulated their products to better work with North American skin challenges -- presumably more pollution, sun and stress. They incorporate natural active ingredients, using cutting edge technology. I was happy to be hosted to experience it!

The Academy Awards are coming soon and this year, the ratings will probably be sky-high, due to recent controversies. The swag bags will no doubt have to be exceptional! Last year, G.M. Collin products, including Hydramucine Optimal Serum, were in the baskets given to presenters and other VIP's. This serum is perfect for winter, because it was created for dehydrated skin. Even oily skin can get dehydrated walking outside, skiing, just hanging around in central heating. It's pretty silky and weightless, for all the protection it provides. The consistency is that of a thinner creme-gel. It dries impressively quickly and is thin enough for makeup not to pill on top. Your skin will plump out, look more rested, replenished and youthful. Not only that, but it's a protective barrier against the outdoor menaces -- man-made and natural. For you jet-setters, it's perfectly sized for 3-1-1 carry-on travel bags/TSA requirements.

Another one of their innovative products doesn't even count against your 3-1-1 bag and is actually marvelous to use in First Class airplane cabins -- with the slight privacy that those seats afford -- Instant Radiance Anti-Aging Eye Patch. These individually packaged treatments are peel-off silicone style patches infused with soothing and hydrating ingredients. You apply them under your eye, covering the tops of your cheekbones. They remain there for 20 minutes. Then, peel away and tap in any remaining gel into your skin. Be gentle! No use roughing up the very eyes you've been treating. The crinkly laugh lines will be plumped. The effects are cumulative, so you're advised to use them 5 times a week for two weeks or overnight for more severe eye concerns. Then, be sure to use them just before getting ready for special occasions! They're helpful in the fight against crows' feet and puffiness. So much better than the old-fashioned teaspoon out of the refrigerator beauty trick!
