Hair Products and Freebies

Updated on November 3, 2014

I'm part of a social marketing company called BzzAgent! As part of being a member of this awesome site, we get the opportunity to try out different (free) products that are shipped to us. In return, it is important that we provide reviews on the site, through various social media sites like Facebook or Twitter, and also use word of mouth to spread the word on what we thought of the product too (since we all know that word of mouth is the best way to spread the word about anything - word travels fast!!) Most products that get reviewed typically also provide coupons that you can hand out to family/friends when you tell them about the product. You are typically chosen for a product based on the types of campaigns available and the responses to surveys you may have given.

Past free products I have been lucky enough to try out and review include:
- Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Products (night cream, face cleanser)
- Always Infinity (pads)
- Crest Pro Health (toothpaste, toothbrush, mouth wash)

and now, Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 Products!

This time around, I received: Shampoo, Conditioner, and BB Cream! These products are called "Ultimate 10" because apparently they all provide 10 solutions! This includes (per Pantene product and Pantene website):

  1. Repair for Rough Hair
  2. Strength Against Damage
  3. Silky Softness
  4. Brilliant Shine
  5. Smoothing
  6. Moisture
  7. Frizz Control
  8. Heat Protection
  9. Manageability
  10. Tamed Flyaways Clinically

After using each product over two weeks, I would say that I don't notice *that* much difference in my hair (my hair is a thick/straight texture).

The Shampoo - this shampoo isn't too much different than any other shampoo I have tried. It has a nice light scent, lathers into the hair well, and is able to cleanse it and make it feel clean upon wash. I can't say that I am able to tell any difference in terms of repair or strengthening against damage to my hair after using it. Otherwise, I would say it still does its job as a shampoo,

The Conditioner - the conditioner has a slightly thicker consistency than a regular conditioner that I use. Again, I haven't been able to notice any remarkable differences after using it, but it does do its job of making the hair feel smooth and able to get knots out of my hair after I rub it into my hair. It does its job as a conditioner but hard to tell the "10 solutions" it provides.

The Cream - I was hoping to direct the cream towards a dry/damaged section of my hair that always seems to tangle/feel rough after I wash my hair. Unfortunately, it still feels the same roughness after using the cream for over two weeks. The cream does make my hair look smoother though, and more styled than it normally would. The cream also feels very natural, unlike a gel or hair spray that you would put in your hair - it almost feels like you are moisturising your hair with skin cream when you comb it into your hair.

All in all, I would say that the products do their job as a shampoo, conditioner, and cream, but I have yet to experience all "10" solutions to the products (specifically repairing against rough hair and damaged hair). I would still use the products though as they do the most important things for me - clean and make me look fresh!

Thank you again Pantene and BzzAgent for the free products. Check out the BzzAgent website if you're interested in joining - who can say no to free??
