It is important when choose who will do you tattoo to make sure that they practice clean and safe tattooing. Getting a permanent tattoo is a serious procedure, that requires breaching of the skin and contact with body fluids and blood.

Make sure your tattoo artist has a current license and that all areas are clean such as working surfaces and bathroom area. Also, make sure that needles used are taken from a sealed packet and that the ink is fresh.

Safety Percautions

Do not get a tattoo if you have sensitive skin, dermatitis, eczema or any skin eruptions. No sensible tattoo artist will no work on a client that has a rash or skin disease. This will avoid infection or the risk of contamination to the tattoo artist or other clients.

If you have an autoimmune disease such as HIV, Hepatitis C, etc. you may have greater problems with infection or slow healing. Let you artist know you have a disease transmitted by blood, so they can take extra precautions.

A clean parlor is paramount as there is always a risk of contracting Hepatitis C, Aids, HIV, MERSA or deep skin infection when getting a tattoo, so do your homework before choosing a tattoo parlor.

      Tattoos are so permanent, they can be removed but it takes time and quite a bit of money. So I agree do your research before you decide what tattoo you would like do not make a rash decision you may regret.
