How To Get Free Plastic Surgery

Updated on September 25, 2015

Free Plastic Surgery

Plastic Surgery... for free?

Yes, you can have plastic surgery for free. Whether you are looking simply for free breast implants or a nose job or more complicated cases where you need reconstructive plastic surgery, you can find a wide range of solutions for having your surgery for free. The solutions go from finding financial contributors and taking part on medical trials, to passing by TV shows offering total makeovers or even joining the military to finance your surgery. Other times, for those who need reconstructive surgery after an accident, there are doctors offering their services free of charge to help those in need.

There are several ways to get plastic surgery for free.

While some methods are overly commercial and maybe even bizarre, there are others which are worth all your respect for the team of sponsors and volunteers who make free plastic surgery possible to restore the looks of women who had been abused or children who because of different reasons are disfigured.

The medical speciality of plastic surgery includes both: cosmetic surgery –done mainly to enhance beauty- and reconstructive surgery which is done to restore someone’s appearance back to normality. There are many ways to have plastic surgery for free, depending on your particular case and needs you might want to explore some of the options below.

The Smart Woman's Guide to Plastic Surgery

The Smart Woman's Guide to Plastic Surgery, Updated Second Edition
The Smart Woman's Guide to Plastic Surgery, Updated Second Edition

This book gives you real answers on the most popular procedures, including what to ask surgeons during consultations, possible risks, how to plan and pay for surgery, and how to speed physical and emotional recovery.

Free Plastic Surgery With The Military

Did you know that personnel in all four branches of the military and members of their immediate families can get face-lifts, nose jobs, breast enlargements, liposuction, or any other kind of elective cosmetic alteration, at taxpayer expense?

While the military doesn't offer extreme makeovers, there is no limit to the amount of cosmetic surgeries that a soldier can have done. The commanding officer has to approve the time off for any soldier who is having surgery.

Would free cosmetic surgery be and incentive for YOU to join the military?

Free plastic surgery with The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK

Hundreds of people have had cosmetic surgery for free thanks to the UK’s NHS. Figures from the NHS Information Centre show that in 2008, the NHS spent £5.7 million on giving 471 patients liposuction and giving over 1,600 patients nose jobs, tummy tucks and breast reductions.

Doctors have explained the situation saying there was a medical reason (from body dysmorphic disorder to HIV medication causing fat deposits to build up on the neck) for the cosmetic surgery in all of the cases. The British surgeons have explained that the rules for having cosmetic surgery under the NHS are stringent and patients would not get surgery for purely cosmetic reasons.

Free Implants Thanks To Financial Contributors

My Free

This is a social networking site started in 2005 that claims to help women get their breast implants safely and debt free. The community is composed of women who want to have a breast augmentation, contributors who can economically contribute and support you in order to achieve your augmentation dream, and finally, plastic surgeons.

My Free implants provides the only no cost alternative to cosmetic surgery loans

Free Breast Implants

Get Cosmetic

Get is based on a similar concept to that of My Free Implants. com. It is for those who want cosmetic surgery but simply can’t afford it. the site works by letting you create an "ad" on their website to invite donations from friends, family or strangers. If you are willing to become public and try this method, a four month listing on the site will set you back less than $9.

The site has many adverts for cosmetic surgery as well as reconstructive surgery for those who can not afford it any other way.

Would you accept someone unknown to you sponsoring your cosmetic surgery?

TV Shows

If you live near a big city and you are not shy to go public, why not try out for one of the makeover shows that are popular on television. Usually, they will follow your progress as you go through the surgery process.

"Atlanta Plastic" The New Cosmetic Surgery TV Show That Follows 3 Of Atlanta's Top African American Surgeons And Their Clients

Plastic Surgery - Clinical Trials

Another way of getting free plastic surgery is participating in clinical trials relevant to Plastic surgery.

You can check the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform. Here at least you can be sure that Plastic surgery is performed by plastic surgeons who have received extensive training and belong to professional associations such as the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). The main limitation is that you cannot choose from a wide range of cosmetic surgeries. The site is aimed to find people available for Plastic surgery rather than cosmetic interventions.

WARNING: Please keep in mind that clinical trials have risks. They can include unpleasant, serious or even life-threatening side effects that may be different from the side effects of currently available treatments.

Clinical Trials

Clinical trials in cosmetic surgery are usually treatment-oriented. For example, many surgeons are now looking at cohesive gel breast implants, which have the positive attributes of the silicone gel implant, but do not pose the risk of gel migration.

The Cost Of Plastic Surgery

Before engaging in any plastic surgery agreement, bear in mind the full economical cost of plastic or cosmetic surgery.

In performing cosmetic and plastic surgery there are three basic fees that must be considered:

1) the surgical fee -your doctor's fee.

2) anesthesia fee. This depends on the nature of the anesthesia administered (local, regional or general), the time of surgery and other technical issues.

3) facility fee and materials costs.

Make sure that you know the full cost of the procedure before you decide.

Remember to check with your doctor for more information on any cosmetic or plastic surgery procedures.

My insurance company paid for a tummy tuck with muscle repair ( six c-sections) a breast reduction, and since that didn't look so hot a breast reduction revision, which again doesn't look right. The Dr said implants is the only thing left to do, crazy after I had a reduction! The insurance company said no more. I was luckily thought to get what I did. Now I really need a face lift, the hanging skin under my arm and yuke, the skin on my inner thighs is horrible. Exercise won't fix it. I will check this out I have heard of it, and just never looked into it.Thanks for the great information.

If you are in the military is worth talking to an MTF.

Depending on your location and personal situation you might be eligible for plastic surgery treatment. Doctors do this to train and keep up their skills so that they can treat wounded soldiers in the time of battle or other serious injury/disfigurment.

No, I haven't used any of the above services. I am just letting people know what is available out there, so they can explore further if they need to. I am not recommending any particular service as I do not have first hand experience from any of them shareitt.

Anyone thinking about having plastic surgery MUST inform herself very carefully about the clinics and doctors performing the surgery.

      Good talissa!

I never thougth about that, thanks for bringing it to my attention Sibli. It is true that transgender people are sadly treated as freaks and that should change, we should learn to be more tolerant and understanding. Cosmetic surgery could change not only the looks of a person but his self esteem, his attitude towards life and most important, other people's attitudes towards them.

Although if you dont live in the UK and are not in the Military and dont have a physically abusive spouse taking a chance on the kindness of strangers "strings attached money" is a little scarey. For the transgender out in the cold on this it is more frustrating since though they have been disfigured by the wrong hormones for years from birth most of USA society and culture seem to think it is cosmetic and superficial. Sad.

Same with yard work, our Air Condition repair man just received beautiful family beach portraits, for our new GE unit. Hmmm.....wondering if this barter system might work with a plastic surgeon. Just so you know, from a recent veteran, it's not easy to get the free cosmetic surgery within the military. Although it's possible, it's not likely. My husband is a surgery tech and assists the surgeons and in the second largest hospital in the Air Force, they only do maybe 2 breast enhancements a year. They do more important things such as fixing peoples noses because they have sleep apnea or other things. There has to be a good reason for it. Normally those that get breast enhancements or liposuctions are those that are in severe depression.

      Just so you know!

I would hope that the surgons doing pro bono work for women and childern know what they are doing. Those people don't need anymore hardships in their lives than they already have.

By the way, where you get you pictures? I love them!

Amazing information indeed. Those doctors who help disfigured children only on a volunteer basis are the real doctors that we all need, people concerned about other human beings and not just money.

That is right, bloodnlatex, it is very important to get well informed before undergoing surgery. I imagine that those places who offer free plastic surgery to abused women or disfigured children are safe and trust worthy.

Other places offering free plastic surgery for free, only for comercial reasons should be well studied before taking a decision.

Again,I managed to learn something by reading one of your hubs. The only thing I'd question about free surgery, is the quality of the results. Too often you can get a ton of shit for free, but you couldn't pay me to live with the results. I guess you just really need to do your research before hand.

      Great Job.

Balding men are sexy you know Carson? I am thinking Bruce Willis and Sean Connery for example, they both look much better without hair than with it. As a bonus I have heard that the balding starts because of a "testosterone overcharge", which we all know what in means in terms of sexual power ;-)

Good job Anath...nice research and very informative. If I hadn't clicked on the links themselves I never would have know they were available. Now what can be done for balding men, think women would contribute at the same level? Of course if I'm a pirate like BadCo no one will ever see the top of my head. I'm going to get my bandana. :>)
