How to Get Rid of Wrinkles and look younger

Updated on September 15, 2014

Getting Older Gracefully

Getting older is a part of nature and there is nothing more depressing than having the continuous reminder when looking in the mirror.

For some it is laughter lines and adventure and for others it is a sign that age is catching up to us but there are ways to rid ourselves of wrinkles and grow old gracefully.

Lines and wrinkles are a sign that you have been living a good life and it is going to happen to everyone whether we like it or not.

Some of us can go and remove the wrinkles by having plastic surgery but the telltale signs will still be there and altering your face to hide wrinkles is just avoiding the inevitable.

Botox and plastic surgery do help but if you don't have the bank account to permanently do this, then you will end up looking much older than when you started and with Botox it will be all smiles on the inside but on the outside nobody will be able to notice.

For those of us that can't afford plastic surgery or would like to grow old gracefully, then this is for you. The lines and wrinkles won't magically disappear completely but they will fade enough for you to take a few years off of your face and body, without looking like you were put in front of a jet engine, with lips that look like they have been sucked out of your skin.

Better than Botox, natural methods

Botox is not a permanent solution to getting rid of wrinkles.

Get Yourself Looking Younger

Time takes its toll and the skin loses its elasticity, causing everything to sag.

The sun, smoking, drinking and lack of sleep can also cause you to age before your time.

Too late for some so how do you fix it?

Sleep is so important and we need to have 7 to 9 hours in order to produce HGH which keeps the skin elastic and thick.

For those of us who can't fall asleep on our backs, then you need to get an anti wrinkle pillow that does not put too much pressure on the face.

Harmful free radicals make us age quicker than we should and eating or drinking anything high in anti - oxidants will rid our bodies of these pesty radicals.

Sugar is also a bad influence and can damage your skins collagen.

Cocoa protects your skin from the sun and this doesn't mean you can eat chocolate instead of using sunscreen! It just means that cocoa is healthier than coffee and you should substitute coffee for cocoa every now and again. It helps your skin feel smoother too.

Drinking lots of water is a secret to longevity and of course....always wear sunscreen!

Now that we have these tips out of the way, let's continue on to what will remove the wrinkles if you have never tried the other steps.

Face Yoga for forehead lines

Removing Wrinkles On Your Forehead

Avoid sleeping on your face or side as the pressure will cause you to get lines on your forehead.

To hydrate your skin the best solution is to get Olive oil and Coconut oil together, heat it up and massage it gently in a downward to upward motion for ten minutes per day.

2 to 3 tablespoons of Flax seed oil per day can remove wrinkles and you will see results within two weeks.

Alternatively you can have Botox done but remember that once you cannot afford the treatments anymore, your skin will drop instantly and you will look much older than before. It also takes away any signs of life in your skin and showing expression might be a challenge.

A brow lift is a good solution but it costs money and it can be painful.

Anti - oxidants and exercise are also a great solution as well as using a Retinol facial cream for lines and wrinkles.

Face Masks with strawberry, oranges and Vitamin C

How To Get Rid Of Wrinkles Under Your Eyes

A good eye cream works if you can keep up with the daily routine. Naturally you should avoid squinting your eyes and if you read a book in poor light or you are preventing yourself from getting glasses, then you are not doing your eyes any favours.

Wear sunglasses in the light to prevent your eyes from wrinkles and reading glasses to prevent straining your eyes.

Remove makeup gently and use a gentle cream for this. The under eye area is the most sensitive and thinnest part of our skin, which will be the first place to show signs of age.

For a home remedy that takes 1 minute of treatment and results that can be seen in 20 minutes use this formula to get results that can completely remove your wrinkles within 2 weeks.

You will need:

1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin

1 teaspoon Hemp seed oil

1 teaspoon extra virgin Olive oil

Mix all the ingredients together and gently massage them under your eye area for 1 minute.

Take a warm cloth and press it under the eye area and allow the ingredients to soak into the wrinkles.

Once you have done this add a teaspoon of honey to the mixture and repeat the process, add more of the mixture and use your cloth to press onto the wrinkles.

Once you have completed this then add Vaseline to the eye area. If your wrinkles are very deep then do the mixture, add Vaseline to cover it and leave it overnight.

Your wrinkles will be gone and if you see that they are returning then keep the mixture handy and repeat the process each day.

How To Remove Wrinkles From Your Face

Plastic surgery is an option but too much anaesthetic is also not good for the heart. You will also look like all the other women that have had the surgery and your face will look unnatural and pushed back, almost like you have been stuck in a strong wind for too long.

Getting the balance right naturally is a good solution because it allows you to look younger and get older gracefully in your own unique way.

Vitamin C forces your skin to produce more Collagen and by rubbing the juices onto your face or using a facial mask out of fruit, will show results within 3 weeks. It is just like using Retinol but with more effect as the Vitamin C is the strongest form.

Facial exercises will also help with the anti ageing and facial yoga is a fantastic treatment too.

Fuller lips with facial yoga

How To Plump Up Your Lips Naturally

This can be done after you have brushed your teeth.

Take your toothbrush and gently brush your lips in a circular motion and once you have completed this step add some lip therapy for a smooth finish.

You can also use a teaspoon of sugar and a little warm water. Dip your finger into the mixture an rub onto your lips. This will give your lips a fuller look just before a date but don't do this every day as it will damage your lips.

Mix Cayenne pepper with a little water to form a paste. Massage it onto your lips and leave it for 10 minutes. It will burn so avoid getting this in your eyes.

Peppermint or Cinnamon oil will also give you fuller lips causing them to swell. Use this method twice a week.

Neck Wrinkle Removal

Anti- oxidants are the best way to decrease wrinkles on your body. Vitamin C masks can also be used on your neck so when you do the face mask, make extra for the neck area.

When we moisturise and take care of our faces, we tend to forget the neck area which is delicate and is the only way to see exactly how old someone really is.

Take care of your skin and your neck area must be treated with care and be gentle.

Retinol creams also work well but for home remedies that truly work, use Pineapple, Papaya, orange juice and strawberry face and neck masks to get the best results.

Don't get lazy and do this every day to rid your body of wrinkles.
