How to Make Homemade Hand Lotion
How To Make Homemade Hand Lotion
Do you suffer from dry or even cracked skin? Dry skin itches and often flakes, and cracked skin can be painful to deal with. Store bought lotions don't always work the greatest and the ones that DO can cost a fortune if you have to use it all the time when battling these conditions.
After long research on several different types of healing lotions, I've found the following recipe that you can make yourself at home for practically pennies a container. Best of all, it is AMAZING and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.
Here's how to make your own homemade hand lotion, both cheap and IT WORKS!!
My family calls it Nana Rash's Miracle Lotion...lol
Ingredients
Items Needed:
- 1 Bottle of Baby Lotion
- 8 oz. of Vitamin E Cream (make sure it's the CREAM and not the oil)
- 4 oz. of Petroleum Jelly (better known as Vaseline)
Directions
Pour all the ingredients into a very large bowl (make sure to keep your containers for refilling when done).
Next, using your electric mixer (or whisk if doing by hand) begin to mix the ingredients together until there are no longer any clumps of individual products. Keep your mixer on the lowest setting possible as we are not wanting to whip air into the lotion, but simply breaking up the individual ingredients and mixing everything together.
When done, your lotion should resemble that of frosting.
Almost Done
Now simply refill your containers with your amazing lotion and use often. You'll notice a smooth silky feeling to your skin and the vitamin E in the lotion will begin the healing process the first time you use it.
Enjoy and let me know how it works for you...
