How to buy Christian Dior handbags on sale, clearance,at outlet prices or at a discount

Updated on October 13, 2011

Christian Dior makes some of the most beautiful accessories. Owning a Dior purse is a pleasure. Many of the bags retail for thousands of dollars, so they can be quite an expense. Finding an authentic handbag for less is wonderful. Here are some ways to find your bag and save money.

Christian Dior outlets

There are only a few Dior outlets in the United States. One is near Palm Springs at the Desert Hills outlets in Cabazon, California; one is near Walt Disney World in Orlando at the Premium outlets; one is at the Woodbury Commons outlets in Central Valley, New York.

Items in these stores are older bags that are no longer part of the newest collections found in the full retail stores. Many are half off the original price.

Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue

Both of these premier retailers carry high end designer bags. Bags go on sale twice a year in these stores across the country. If you can't make a sale, visit Sak's oulet called Off 5th and Neiman's outlet called Last Call.

Ebay and Amazon

Mini-retailers open shops in both these online shopping venues. Some will focus on vintage or nearly new items. Some will sell authentic goods. It is very important that you read comments and look at all the reviews. Having some first hand knowledge of the handbag you are wanting can help you not purchase a fake.

Rent a designer bag

If you can't afford a purse, but want to experience owning one, you can rent a bag from Bag, Borrow or Steal. They carry the latest handbags and only charge you a small percentage of what the purse would cost you.

Consignment shops

Most larger cities have high end shops that will carry designer handbags including Dior. Some shops will place their inventory online so you don't need to live in that town to take advantage of the deals. Let a shop owner know what you want and she will call you when it comes in. They aren't always used. Many are in incredible condition.

I don't think a lot of people can afford that. I have a hub that shows you how to shop on the cheap. Please consider reading it.

This is great! I'm glad you mention renting bags. I remember hearing about this on Sex and the City, but I've since forgotten about it. I think I'll put away my fashion lemmings and look up a bag renting site! ;)
