How to Pick Which Tattoo to Get on Your Leg or Arm
There are many, many reasons why people decide to get tattoos. Some are because of a traumatic life event, while other people get them to symbolize a joyous occasion or happy time in their life. No matter what the reasoning it for getting a tattoo, it all begins with what tattoo to get. Some people know exactly what they want and don't have to look any further. The majority of people do an extensive search to find that perfect tattoo. One of the most common places men get tattoos is the leg or arm. In Summertime, the numbers rise in leg and arm tattoos because of the show off factor. It's not as fun to get a tattoo in the Winter when you have to keep it covered up with jeans and sweatshirts.

How to Take Care of a Leg Tattoo
The majority of people decide to get tattoos in the warmer Summer months. A couple things to keep in mind is that after you get a tattoo, you can't get it wet until the scab falls off and it's totally healed. A lot of people don't think about this when getting a tattoo in the Summer time. Also, you have to keep your new tattoo out of the sun. Don't get a tattoo if you're planning on doing any swimming or hanging out in the sun.

Tattoo Scabbing
Another thing to be aware of when getting a tattoo is that the scabbing lasts 2-3 weeks and you have to be careful how you move while it's healing. Especially on the leg, every movement will pull on the scab. Keep that in mine as to when you want to get it done.

What to Put on a New Tattoo
A lot of people are told to put on A&D Ointment, but when I got my last tattoo my tattoo artist told me instead of using A&D to use a unscented lotion several times a day. He said this was to let the tattoo breathe to help it heal quicker than if I used the A&D which I had used on my other tattoos.
