Must have color at Weddings?

Updated on March 16, 2010

I feel that the phrase "to each his own" fits in this situation. Weddings are special events especially to the individuals getting married. If you want to wear a traditional white/ivory wedding dress or a saloon girl dress in Vivacious Red go right ahead.

My wedding dress was white with silver piping in a nice scrolling design on the bodice. My twin sister's dress was this fluffy sequin and bead number that had the sweetheart neckline. No two individuals (no matter how close) will choose the same wedding dress. My cousin and his wife went with a medieval theme at their wedding complete with a "Castle" as the wedding location.

You shouldn't also torture your bridesmaids by choosing the most outrageous bridesmaids dresses you can find. Try to be tasteful and remember the question "Would you want to spend XX.XX on a dress and not be able to wear it again?"

Not only is color important but the cut of the dress is what makes it stunning and the work of a photographer a lot easier.

Haha my BM's are having a lot of say in what they wear!

I am actually not going for a fully coloured gown i was just curous to other peoples opinions. I like the idea of having that dress You can only wear on your wedding day - when else can you wear a beautiful white/ivory dress??
